  3. Harry, I am very familiar with Photoshop, having used it for better than 8 years now and you are the first to make the claim to start with nothing but a blank screen. I applaud you because even I must start with a line drawing. That is the only way I figure to end up with a correctly proportioned illustration. Sometimes I trace the basic shape and sometimes, like the Ricky Couch piece in December issue of MCM, I freehand the whole thing. Good luck Harry and thank you for contributing, your artwork is beautiful. Jairus
  4. You must start with something then. A line drawing perhaps to trap the color?
  5. I actually drove one of those for 17 years and over 250,000 miles! It was a '79 with a 3KC engine and a 5 speed. I put 5 waterpumps into it! (sheesh) Plus, three clutches, 2 transmissions, 4 batteries, one starter, one head gasket, one radiator, couple dozen sparkplugs and 3 sets of sheep skin seat covers. Mostly it was a great car and probably the most dependable I have ever owned. Sold it at a garage sale between a dirt bike and a pile of old clothes. I miss that car....
  6. Acrylic airbrush and paint brush on canvas maybe? (Could be digital too...) Very nice work, I agree you must be doing this professionally! What is the size of the originals please and maybe a little info on the techniques? 8)
  7. soonerolds: Rule of thumb is that if you can type the address into the address bar of a blank window and hit Enter, and it works... then you should be able to post it. At any rate, we don't know who you are and forum rules state clearly that you need your name somewhere in the post. Soooo please put your first and last name in the Signature box. Thanks!!! 8)
  8. Tommy, that is such a great tutorial that I am going to bronze it somehow... Thank you!

  14. I don't know of anything online... all sites I know of no longer list this item. You could give a call to Tammy's Hobbies in Beaverton Oregon. They have a huge collection of Pegasus Wheels. They might be able to figure postage and take your credit card. Tammy's Hobbies 12024 SW CANYON RD BEAVERTON, OR 97005-2150 Phone: 503-644-4535 Or: Bridgetown Hobbies & Games/The Military Corner 3350 NE Sandy Blvd Portland, OR 97232-1927 Phone: 503-234-1881 Jairus
  15. Zeb, get in line! (And thank you for posting this on the forum too) Lots of people have responded to this question thus making me think that I might not be the best person to be writing this question and answer column. Yes, there are/or were two kits that were available, which contained suspension parts for two models in each. Even though I was too young to have purchased one of these kits off the shelve, and none were available on eBay at the time I did the research, but.... yes, there were two such Parts Pac kits. Yes, the parts were specifically designed for the two-dragster kits, one of which is shown, and for two roadster/drag kits which were also parts pacs. YES, I WAS WRONG!!!! I answered this and posted a response which will be published in issue #120 YES, I WAS WRONG!!!! Anybody else want to take on this project of researching, responding and writing the Ask Gregg & Jairus Column? I am open to suggestions...
  16. B_A_R, One of the very few rules we have here at MCM Online forum is that you must register to post messages. If you register using a "handle" or an "alias" (like B_A_R), you MUST place your REAL NAME (at least first and last name) in the "signature" below each message. The signature text block is found in your profile section of this board. If you chose not to display your real name in your signature, you will receive a warning which, if ignored, will result in removal of posting privileges. Sorry, but thems the rules.... er' rule. Whatever... Thank you!
  17. Dan, please put your last name in the signature text box! Thank you! Failure to do this will result in loss of erec____ dysfunction on this board...... ! Now, you don't want that, right? Thank you! 8)
