  2. Excellent tip Bob!
  3. They didn't paint the interiors though... did they?
  4. Oh, people whine here... do you ever read "rants and raves"?
  5. Nice Luis, very nice! I would find smaller dice.... but that is just me.
  6. I love working with wood! Those doors look beautiful Art! Dang, you are going to drag me into another woody.... but keep posting anyway!
  7. So fill them dimples! Heck, did anybody promise you a rose garden? Even during the "Golden Era" of modeling, there were sink marks, and ejection pin marks.... That is what seperates the talent from the poser. Quit complaining and get something painted fer'heavens sake!* *The above was said with the greatest love and respect for you guys and your building talents! :-) J
  8. Looks like it might be 1/12th scale... Good start, keep us updated please!
  9. idunno, I do not think you are being ignored because you are new. It's because the trucking community here on MCM forums is still small. Give it time and keep posting. Posting clearer pictures will also add a ton to the respect and feedback other modelers will provide you. So maybe work on your photography skills. Also my friend, we don’t know your name either. Could you please post your full name in the "signature text box" found in the Profile section of this forum. The name requirement is one of the very few rules on this forum and it really works to keep the rif-raf out. Welcome to MCM forums! Jairus
  10. The Ford Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) 427 V8 engine, familiarly known as the Cammer, was developed by Ford Motor Company in 1964 to recapture NASCAR dominance from the Chrysler Hemi engine. However, it made it's mark in Drag Racing so you are safe sticking it into a Mustang Gasser. However, I have seen it in 1:1 street rods, street Mustangs, a 1948 Ford convertible (just last summer), and ..... Well, you could stick it into any Ford you want actually! Just let us see the project...
  11. Ok, that's weird Bobby! Way to go Ray. 8)
  12. Welcome aboard William!
  13. Need some teeth in that grill opening I think... Buick, Desoto or canine. 8)
  14. Unless it's a Camaro!
  15. No problem, thank you and WELCOME!!!
  16. mississippi, I am afraid that we do not know you... so I will explain something to you. Here at MCM forums we use our real names when registering with a "handle". You can keep the handle, but please put your real name in the signature text box found in the Profile section of this forum. Failure to do so will end in restriction of posting. Thank you! J
  17. Mercman, Your posting privileges have been taken away because you have not posted your name in the signature box as requested twice! When you are ready to talk to me you can still PM me. When you post your name in the signature box then your posting privileges will be restored. Anyone else reading this, who has not already done so, please click here: POST YOUR NAME! And, know that I am not kidding! 8)
  18. Henry, Looking forward to it. Messages like this should really be done using the PM button.. okay? Thank you!
  19. That is what I would call them! Totally wrong as that car only used a mechanical braking system when it was new. Guess the mold making guys figured the the bulk of builders would be making street rods... By the way Neat Rod Dude! Keep us updated on the progress.
  20. Funny Henry, very funny! Actually, I didn't know you could change your "handle" after registering so you taught me something. Oh, and ... Thank you!
  21. Like I said in the Lincoln thread, the cars of the late 50's have to be seen and appreciated in context of the era. Today they look lumbering and painfully over styled like a 68-year-old woman with too much jewelry wearing leopard print leotards. The styling of the Edsel was not really what killed this car however. Mostly it was the price. FordMoCo thought there was a market for a mid level car between the Fords and the Mercury’s. They were wrong! The styling and build quality may have been additional reasons for poor sales. But the build quality was no worse than any other Ford of the period. Sure, a lot of people made fun of the grill but that was much later when the cars were sitting on used car lots. There is a great story about the styling in an issue of Collectable Automobile - June '99. Personality Profile of Robin Jones who was the primary designer of the '58's. Truly the drawings of the car look much better than the final result! Jairus
  22. I am not sure if there were any kits of that perticular truck made but they may exist. This is just one site to keep your eyes on for old kits. www.modelexpress.net Also, we don't know you friend so could you please post your name, first and last, in the signature box found in the Profile section of this board. I would really appreciate it because that is one of the few rules we have here. Thank you! And Welcome aboard! Jairus
  23. Horemheb, zebm1 is correct. The ports on the sides usually have 4 holes or divots, which need to be drilled out to accept the plug wire, 4 on each side. Don't drill right through because you'll never keep the drill going straight enough to match up on the other side and ruin the whole mess. The four on the one side go to one bank of cylinders and the other four go.... well, you get the idea. The direction is already supposed to be designed into Mag itself. By the way guys, I need the both of you to post your real names in the signature box found in the Profile section of this board. Please!!! 'Cause we want to know who you are... We also want to set a good example for the new guys. Thanks! 8)
