  1. Beautiful work Bob, and excellent photography too I might add. Great to meet you last weekend!
  2. Welcome aboard Bob! What's your last name and have we met?
  3. Bookmarked! Thank you for the heads up.... (any chance I could twist your arm into putting your first and last name in the signature box found in the profile section of this board?) 8)
  4. Now that am home, I found the issue that the original illustration which inspired the Wagon Rod was published first... ah, in. Car Modeler, #33 Sept '95.
  5. Shirts are always available through the mail! Simply email Gregg and get his address for sending payment. $15.00 for large to extra large. $17.00 for XXL to XXXL. Of course there will be a slight postal charge... The shirts are the same as the earlier ones with the same 3 window coupe on the back. Brought back by popular demand, but ... with the new Model Cars logo. Order now or wait until NNL East!
  6. Short answer was I designed the exterior, not the interior. Of the many illustrations that I sent to AMT for the Slammer series someone picked the Chevy woody design for a full kit. The interior and chassis were designed by someone at AMT, as was the name. When I get back home I'll tell you all issue and page where you can find the original illustration published in Car Modeler sometime back in the early 90's.
  7. Zeb, Announcements like that belong in the Contest anouncement section of this board and not in the Ask Gregg and Jairus column of the magazine. K? J
  8. OK, this is a message to "Guest" and anybody else who is intrested. You must first register before posting a message in this Forum. ' Oh yes, registering also means putting your real name in the signature box found in the profile section of this board, or registering under your real name if you don't want to use a nickname. We don't want any "hit and run" posters messing up a good forum, do we? Normally nobody would be able to post a message using the "Guest" monoiker but I suppose I missed a setting... so sue me. If Mr. Guest re-posts this message after registering then anyone is free to answer the question. Thank you. Now we return to our regularly scheduled program....
  9. I don't see how anybody could NOT have a great time with wild and crazy guys like you all? Not to mention fantastic modelers... Flight back to the mainland was great. We rented a van and are currently in Alabama visiting. Heading back to Atlanta GA on Thursday. (P.S. Ariel, please put your name in the signature box dude so all the friends out there can match your face with "Da Troll". And, welcome aboard my friend!)
  10. Gregg and I are back in the hotel room, tired but very happy. We just got back from attending a fantastic car show here in beautiful Puerto Rico! (Were the girls are beautiful and the rum flows... ah, well never mind) The 4th Caribbean Scale Auto Expo is the permire event for the island featuring about 300 models, vendors, prizes, music, dancing and some of the most beautifully built ... model cars found in North America! A full write up will be featured in a future issue of Model Cars Magazine coming to a Hobby Shop near you. However, if you want to visit a tropical paradise, meet some of the nicest people on the planet and see for your self the quality of model cars. THEN I suggest you make plans to attend next year. You won't be disappointed!
  11. Now that's COOL!
  12. Butyrate for windshields and styrene for body parts. I usually stay with .015 thickness for all as a starting place. Thicker for more structure and thinner for more detail. Good luck... but it really is very easy once you get the hang of it! Jairus
  13. Osama, You can't remain anonymous for long as posting privileges requires you to put your real name, first and last, in the signature box found in the profile section of this board. Lurk all you want but please consider following the forum rules if you plan to post. Which I hope you do 'cause this is a neat forum!!! Jairus
  14. Ask a moderator. What do you want moved?
