  1. I'm back with something new! If anyone remembers anything about a '60 Starliner, forget about it! My mother nursed a crow while I was gone mid-summer break and kept it in my room. Just so happens, living things make waste, and this particular one drops it where ever and when ever. So of course, this one decided to drop a little present right on my hood! So I've set that model aside for awhile, and built this. Trust me, it's much better. Not much luck with this camera, but I do have some in progress pictures (some better close ups on the interior, which I like), just tell me if you'd like to see them. I started this one during my summer break. My grandma had a goodie bag for me and this was in it. So I built it. I think it's much better than that Starliner I had goin'. If you want clearer pictures (cause this is my most detailed model so far. and my 2nd), I can get some up. the only thing really wrong is the grill didn't really hug the body like it should've. This is all box stock. I remembered someone's article about tire detailing, so I used it. The one where you take a drill, bolt, two washers, and sandpaper. I've got to say, it's a whole helluva lot better than working at it with just sandpaper.
  2. It's AWESOME! I'm a big fan of junkers and barn finds.
  3. Thats lookin pretty awesome! Might I ask though, what is the green stuff you were using?

  6. HaHa thanks, thats what I was goin for =)
  7. Ok well I sort of stalled on the model for a while because of the bad weather we've been getting. (you may be thinking, What??) Well I have to work outside on the patio because of how much the smells bother my parents (Oh well). So now, I've got some sun, a new dremel, and I'd like to clear up what I have to do with my model. So last I heard was I had to get warm soapy water and sand it down to avoid sandpaper grooves in my paint. I'm pretty sure all I need to know is what kind of sandpaper? I'm guessing 1000 grit but I just want to be sure. Thanks in advance, -The Cheesy one

  20. Sand first then soap & water?
  21. Hey guys, I'm having some trouble with the painting here (sorry no pics). Since I'm using a brush, I gotta sand a bit, and it's not looking very great, not only for my lack of skills, but I have a poor selection os sandpaper. Nevermind that, I can fix that problem what I'd like is some technique ideas and tips for sanding. I started on the hood first, and I got it all sanded down. For one, it completely changed the color, but it's kinda faded so I guess it's okay for this build. But there's also (really tiny) sanding grooves along it, luckily they're all the same direction, but you can definitly notice them. Do I just need finer sandpaper? I hope so, cause it's not looking that great and I hope I can fix it.
  22. Lookin' good, man!!
  23. AND...haha we live in the same state, so you're like the only person near my time zone, woohoo!
  24. Sounds pretty awesome! I just noticed that the front suspension is the same as my '60 starliner, so was that Ford's design of front suspension those years?
