  1. Marvelous job on the paint and decals, it does look good on a modern car! Any engine detail?
  2. Absolutely beautiful, love the Character
  3. All those lines.... Nice!
  4. The ripped part on the top is supposed to represent old leather drying out. Also, I 'Scratch Built' a makeshift mount for the alternator. Otherwise, it would have just floated there on the belt! The white walls were painted with Tamyia White Acrylic, instead of using the decal. Tons of detail in this thing...
  5. The last picture isn't showing up for me, but it won some awards at a show is what the pic was of.
  6. I didn't realize how popular this kit is until I looked at all the other '32 fords posted Under Glass! Well here's mine...
  7. I'm familiar with the salt technique =) The only thing different you said is taking it off with the toothbrush. I'm thinking by doing that it sands the top coat paint a little smoother and makes it look that way. I usually use my thumbnail and it comes off a little chunkier (which is good, but I like a little variation). =D And yeah I need to post more progress on my thread to bump it, but it's the '32 5 window red/white/black thing. Still waiting to see more of your build!
  8. Hey that's awesome, before I started working on my '32 Ford, I was making one like this. Same paintjob, but I weathered it. Never finished it though =P
  9. That engine in the back reminded me of the Tucker '48
  10. Hah, I know how that is. Well you made no mistake with the change, it looks awesome! (I'll shut up now, hahahaha)
  11. Hey I never thought of it that way! Thanks for the paradigm shift Michael =)
  12. Oh pfff there I go again reading things like there's no tomorrow, missed the part about "and paint". What happened to the blue you wanted to use?
  13. Great build! I love weathering models, and this is amazing for a first attempt! I am especially fond of that cracked window =) Could someone un-noob me? What does PE stand for? Everytime I see it I think of Plastique Explosive hahaha
  14. Perfect! I love factory stock!
  15. Nice work on the rims! I don't usually like low-profile tires, but those wheels really compliment the style of the car! Can't wait to see more.
  16. Looks amazing just sitting in the primer!
  17. Woo! Great weathering man! That gunk on the frame, those fenders, the gas tank, awesome! I especially like the right fender, I've been trying to achieve that "thin" rust look on rounded parts, I've got to try it. Maybe I'll use the left over fenders of my '32 to practice on. I'd love some criticism from you on my model by the way =) Keep it up man!
  18. Incredible Detail. And I bet it's only going to get better =)
  19. Amazing work you're doing! The detail is quite unbelievable, it's perfect! May I ask what method you used to weather the chassis/frame? Thanks, carchub
  20. This is boss, keep on truckin'! =D
  21. UPDATE Finally! Hah! It's Summer tiiiime... I used Dr. Cranky's way of weathering chrome (with what I had), came out great I'd say! And the livin's easy... Left one of the beauty rings off. OH and the front tires are mostly balded, whoever owns this '32 drives fast around corners =) Finally made a brace for the alternator, before it was floating (wtf? lol) Sprayed the grill flat black and then rubbed my thumb across it to leave the black in the grooves. Looks much better than plated chrome all around.
  22. That is frikkin' good looking man, I'm sticking around for this one.
  23. Beautiful paintjob!
