Art......Wow!!!!.......I bet your father in law was just tickled pink........you did such an AWESOME job......I have always been afraid to re-do a diecast......I have seen some really cool ones and this is the best re-done diecast I have seen......and you pumped it out fast.......can`t wait to see what you got up your sleve next?......and the pictures are great too!!!........thank`s for sharing buddy.

Brian this build was a gift to my father for his birthday a couple of years ago.......my uncle had some photos of it that I went by for reference and from memory ......I will dig them out and post them......thank`s Brian and everyone else for the kind comments.

Hello......this is a replica of my fathers 'Lakester" that he made and raced back in the 60`s........I built this about 3 years ago......everything is scratch built ....... except a few parts from parts box.......Dupont Jarret red.......wired and plumbed.......thank`s for looking......P.S. Hello......just wanted to give you little up-date........I got a little done over the weekend .........worked on the fins, side pipe covers,under carriage and Engine bay........shes ready for primer ......I just need to make a few adjustments that I see in my photo`s and find sand a few areas........if the weather is good this weekend I will primer........I will give you a up-date next week......Happy Holiday`s and thank`s for looking.

Clay......I have been following this build......and I really like it!!!!......the two- tone paint job look`s great......everything flows together nice.

Hello......the canopy is finished.......the interior is finished......I need to fine tune the hinges...... sand and shape everthing........I have to make sure everything is straight ......I will work on the engine and the engine compartment tonight.......I am saving the fins for last.....then it`s ready for primer probably next week......thank`s for looking.
