  1. Al,that is exactly my point... when something is great it's worth the wait... BTW are you keeping John straight over at Carolina Hobby?
  2. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Rat.. is the detail on the c pillar paint or decals? It all looks awesome.
  4. Nice build. What did you do to deal with the sink marks on the top. Every one to these I have has sink marks on the top and I don't really want to mess up the great texture on the top. Any suggestions?
  5. Lateness IS an issue but it is kinda like if you had a date with say Raquel Welch or Sophia Loren and they were late. They might be late but it was forgotten as soon as they showed and you were having fun. ps I Know I am showing my age with my date choices, but I don't think any of us old guys would turn down a date with them, even at their current age and having to bring the wife along! I would have to be fascinating to have dinner with them.
  6. As a side note, I recently saw an article about the update/resto of Mark Stielow's Red Witch 67 Camaro! That car was built for the one lap of America race. I believe the magazine was Popular Hot Rodding.
  7. as a side note I recently saw an article about the update/resto of the Red Witch! I believe in PHR.
  8. Defiantly a bad boy ride! I like it! show us more!
  9. I'll second that Harry. I have been told by our dealer that any (Ford) upgrades done by the dealership are under warranty and do not affect your warranty. I can give you package part numbers if you want. Just need to know what engine you have.
  10. The only thing I would add to Lee's comment is if you bought this at Hobby Lobby, you may have to have them order the clear. I really have to stay after the local Hobby Lobby folks to stock the clear for this paint! It is always out of stock.
  11. I think we had this not long ago. most of the cars are diecast, but the building are scratchbuilt and he photographs against real scenes to give the perception of realism. He is very good.
  12. Visually, make mine a 409 capped with these!
  13. Thanks for the reply. If I understand the statement you make about the seam, The raised parting line should be sanded down. Is this a correct assessment?
  14. I really like the look of the T/W combo you have chosen. Overall aggressive look to the beast is awesome!
  15. Looks Great Billy! Very nice work!
  16. Kyle, The only thing I would add to Lyle's comments is this. This reissue does include some additional parts for the Cali wheels version. These include the addition of flame decals and three new sprue trees. The chrome plated sprue contains large diameter five spoke wheels, brake disc, finned valve covers and air cleaner, as well as a chrome radiator shroud and generator assembly. A second tree contains the front and rear lowered suspension (these may be carried over from the lowrider versions). The final tree is clear red containing the Cadillac taillights. Watch out for those mold lines on the bottom of the fins as well.
  17. Gotta love those Accel plug wires!
  18. At the risk of sounding like a broken record... Don't paint it... many of those old gasser guys spent the money on the engine. paint was way down the list of important stuff! I like it the way it is. If you must paint PM me and we'll trade bodies.
  19. Further along than I am... Looking great!
  20. Great job Ed. I'll try to send some pics of a old station in Hartwell Ga before it goes away...
  21. Thanks for posting Matt... looks good!
  22. Lee, It is molded to the floorpan although you can tell it from the well detailed work going on here!
  23. Sounds like a job for Tim Boyd!!!
  24. Jeff, How about particulars on the comet? where do I get one and how much?
  25. Looks good Lyle. I thought that might be your work when I saw it in your MAMA pics last night.
