  1. Had to add a little bit of plastic to the hood scoop, when I did all the alterations to the model the engine had to be placed higher than normal and the carbs were the first to peek a little past the hood. I just finished painting it so I will let it dry and then polish it to ultimately place it on the hood!!!
  2. One of the things you have to worry about lowering these old models is all the alterations that come afterwards specially when they are drag style vehicles!!!
  3. I don't think he is Izzy, I know he used to belong to our Maryland club but he moved. E-mail Lyle and see what he tells you, he knows him well and will be able to tell you better. I bought some paint from him about 7 years ago when he was w/ the club but haven't heard from him since!! I also have a friend who doesn't airbrush and he gave me about 40 bottles that he had bought from him, what color are you looking for? I might be able to send you something if I have it!! PM me through here or Scalebuilder.com......
  4. Here is a link to the Friday Lowes meet around my house in Maryland. Lots of cars every Friday!!! http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/mmm...uise%205-23-08/ For you guys in Maryland, it is a place worth visiting on Fridays!!!!
  5. Hey, an advice, try Epstein Resins as your store name!!!
  6. Impressed w/ your Impreza!!! Nice work!!!
  7. I am hoping in the next few weeks!!
  8. After being away from the desk I finally got a little more done. Had a set of Detail Master Racing Harnesses around and decided to add them to this build. I am just keeping this car with one seat, I am concentrating on eliminating extra weight so when I go down the track I can do it in a faster manner!! As per an advice from a good friend, I will be toning the belts down a bit, they look a little too glossy. Added the headers to the engine and also started workin on the glass and BMF!!
  9. Very cool build my friend, looks awesome!!!!
  10. Awesome job on this thing Iz, color is just perfect, great work.
  11. Thanks for the photos Barbo, looks like you had a lot of fun down there!!!
  12. Awesome work Luis, I like those rims better than the ones you were thinking about using, it looks more Old School.....
  13. Thanks for sharing this my friend. Does Model Car Garage already have a PE Detail Set for this kit???? I hope so, I will not be doing mine until purchasing the set....

  16. That's great Anthony, now, you are gonna finish it right??? I want to see what you do with that!!! Looks good already man
  17. As you guys know, it's an old kit so improvements are always in order. I am also playing around with the motor and transmission mounts, since I lowered this kit drastically I have had to accomodate things here and there My next concern is making sure the huge headers don't come too close to the ground!!
  18. Thanks for posting this build here Gregg, definetly a car worth showing in this forum specially w/ the level of detail you are adding to that. I will be storing my spare Johan Cuda body w/ my 71 AMT Charger to do more or less the same thing you are doing on yours. Keep us posted man!!!
  19. A link to more photos........... http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l284/mmm...NL%205-10-2008/
  20. I don't know Keith, that's what I felt, it could have been the same count as last year but personally I thought it was a little lower, you know, the price of gas nowadays has something to do w/ it...
  21. Well, I learned that I shouldn't be putting my models in your categories, your work is awesome man. Just make sure that you don't put models in all categories the next time around!!!!! The show was not greatly attended but the few models that were entered were of high quality, congratulations to all the winners!!!
  22. Love where you placed the decals on this thing, it looks free handed!!! The color is awesome and the stance is just right, cool work as usual Luis!!!!
  23. This thing is finally polished, it was tediuos!!! That will be the rake that it will finally have after much tweaking!!!
