I will be taking a little break between the regular ongoing projects I usually do to do something quick and fun! It is a curbside and has very few parts, just warming up before the next big project and the NNL.
I will be posting some stuff soon!!!
Thanks Jay, those rims are a resin copy of originals sent to me by a dear friend in Puerto Rico, I am saving the originals for a future special project. The rims are Alcladed with Aluminum on a glossy basecoat of Model Master gloss black enamel paint.
I scribe my panel lines nice and deep before painting and use Testors Metalizer paints. Metalizer paints are very watery so capillary action takes charge when you dump them into the scribed lines!!
I have always said that anybody can do a glossy finish on a model but it takes a lot more skill to do weathering and aging, you my friend are good, yes you are, hey, I said you are!!!! (a la Robert Deniro)
Very nice start there man, I am sure it will come out phenomenal like all your stuff. I am going to have to buy and build one of these things myself, looks like an interesting project specially when you do your homework w/ the right reference material!!!!
