  1. Want another correction, it is ti's not %*&*, whatever you wrote Welcome to the forum, as you can see, we like to laugh around these parts
  2. I have one from I believe American Harvest with different temperature settings, I just set it for 105 and that's good enough, leave it in there for at least 24 hours and have never had a problem no matter what paints I have used. Just make sure that if you put your painted bodies on any type of holder that you take the holder off, like that you don't have to worry about any warpage issues............
  3. That thing looks cool already!!!!!!!!
  4. Looking good man, can't go wrong with a red Ferrari
  5. Very nice idea you have going on this one man, about your rear spoiler, I just think that it is covering too much of your back lights, I would go with something higher and slightly smaller and more aerodynamic but it is definetly looking real nice, keep us posted...........
  6. Nice job Jonathan, found myself one of these in a hobby store close to my house so I bought it. Very simple kit but even at this scale it has a lot of potential. Very nice job on that one man
  7. Like it a lot, something odd and different, nice and clean too..........
  8. Hey my friend, both cars were painted with cans, it does not matter, the primered Corolla you see in the first picture was done with an airbrush because I use the Floquil brand of primer so it has to be airbrushed but the color and clearcoats were done with cans. Here is a picture of my Impala, also done with cans and you can clearly see that the car is silver but yet the panel lines are dark even after using the metalizer paints........
  9. Quick build I knew it was too good to be true
  10. If you look at the metalizers, they have various shades, I usually go with the darkest but it really does not matter, at the end of your painting session they will look dark, not silvery. I use the sharpie on the white plastic and this gives me an idea how the panel lines will look at the end, that's just me being picky After I prime the car I will flow more metalizer paint into the lines, sand my primer and fix any imperfections and prime again. I stop flowing paint into the lines on my last primer coat, there will be enough paint in the lines for a good finishing effect. Hope this helps..............
  11. WOW!!! Very nice, I will be doing the Johan Comet soon, you did a great job on this one man
  12. The bag can also be used when you have an ugly girlfriend!!!!!!!!!
  13. So there's where the VW rims went to!!!!!!!!! Nice job on that man, don't thank me for the polishing job, thank yourself for having the courage to scratch the s&$*%t out of your model and bring it back to life!!!!!!!!!

    Lexus LS400

    Simple and cool man
  16. Welcome my friend
  17. Looks like it's going to be a nice little project my man, keep us posted.............
  18. Hey bro, I will definetly think about it man, never really took a good look at the engine in the kit yet. It's just that when you start tubbing and using rollcages and stuff the first thing that comes to mind is a more modern "Top Fuel" type of an engine, like I said this is on it's first trial stages, I still have to finish an 86' Corolla to make up for another one I gave away Thanks a lot for your input my friend..........
  19. Hey guys, just remember I need a big engine to turn those meaty tires around, thanks for the recommendations, hope to hear some more ideas.........
  20. I really like it here, not a lot of BELITTLING of other people's work or affiliations. What I like most is the sharing of ideas specially when in between projects and stuff. I think there is a lot of talent also, thank you Gregg and Jairus
  21. Hey Dub, thanks man. The Comet kit is complete with engine and all, it's just that if I am going all out and using the nice chassis out of the Beretta I might as well put a more realistic looking engine on this model. Thanks for your suggestion anyway I am also thinking about doing it old Drag style like on the box and in that case I might use the engine in the kit............
  22. Hey Gregg, just before seeing your post I was getting ready to write the same thing, they usually think about our stuff as toys. I really do get bored at their shows anyway. No matter how much they say that we are welcomed it's all B.S.
  23. This is something I am playing with. Looks like most of the components from the Beretta will fit pretty snug on this Comet but I still would like to use another engine, any suggestions are welcomed. The Comet was given to me by a very good friend so I want to put it together instead of just stashing it away.........
