  1. WOW!!!!!! It would be nice to see more pictures man, congratulations on your trip man, you do have the kind of grin that will last for days
  2. Polishing kit with the Novus system...........
  3. Hey, I recognize those engines, have a few kits with them, thanks a lot anyway, I truly appreciate your offer man, just let me know if you need anything from me also ok, thanks again..................
  4. OK!!! This is it, I am not building any more models You play too rough
  5. Thank you all for the advice guys, those Berettas are sometimes hard to find but I do have about 4 of them in my stash, I thought about using the T-Bird's engine too but will have to study it very closely but it is really a good alternative also. About the Ross Gibson engines, I have heard bad and good things about the quality but mostly bad so if you guys can post some of your experiences with them by all means please post your thoughts, I think that will help a lot, again, thanks for sharing your ideas with me on this one..........
  6. This is going to be a nice one when done, a model you don't see every day, nice job, hope to see this one complete soon..........
  7. The idea is not to go 100% accurate, these rims were very popular on these cars, they are actually Supra rims but they were just as popular as the Rally Wheels on the Chevys.
  8. I am planning on doing it all a same color, not many two tones in that era so I wan't to keep it as close as possible to that time period.............
  9. Hey Bill, I would go with Alclad on those wheels, they don't look too bad in chrome but after seeing the way the Vette came out I think it would be a wise choice, very nice work as usual with this one I am also thinking of going to the LIARS show if nothing else comes up, I have not been there in a while myself..............
  10. Like that green one Antonio, choice of rims is also very cool............
  11. This is the kit I will be using, the other one, well some of you guys have seen it but like a dummy I gave it away so this one I am putting together, it's kind of a vendetta I got going
  12. These are some resin copies from a very good friend of mine called Harold Bradford from Historic Racing Miniatures, they are absolutely stunning and this is how they will look after applying Alclad Polished Aluminum to them. Thanks to my very dear friend Luis Ayala from P.R. for getting me the originals and to Harold for the copies, yes they are still available through Harold if anybody is interested..............The beautiful tires are from another Tamiya kit I have in my stash.
  13. These are the speakers I will be putting in, I don't think you can get any more realistic than this and it only took a bit more time as the pictures show............
  14. This is a little something I am going to be putting together to remind me of some of the cars I saw in the streets of Puerto Rico when I was younger, I will be painting it with the Testors line of paints in the shade that you see..........
  15. Want another correction, it is ti's not %*&*, whatever you wrote Welcome to the forum, as you can see, we like to laugh around these parts
  16. I have one from I believe American Harvest with different temperature settings, I just set it for 105 and that's good enough, leave it in there for at least 24 hours and have never had a problem no matter what paints I have used. Just make sure that if you put your painted bodies on any type of holder that you take the holder off, like that you don't have to worry about any warpage issues............
  17. That thing looks cool already!!!!!!!!
  18. Looking good man, can't go wrong with a red Ferrari
  19. Very nice idea you have going on this one man, about your rear spoiler, I just think that it is covering too much of your back lights, I would go with something higher and slightly smaller and more aerodynamic but it is definetly looking real nice, keep us posted...........
  20. Nice job Jonathan, found myself one of these in a hobby store close to my house so I bought it. Very simple kit but even at this scale it has a lot of potential. Very nice job on that one man
  21. Like it a lot, something odd and different, nice and clean too..........
  22. Hey my friend, both cars were painted with cans, it does not matter, the primered Corolla you see in the first picture was done with an airbrush because I use the Floquil brand of primer so it has to be airbrushed but the color and clearcoats were done with cans. Here is a picture of my Impala, also done with cans and you can clearly see that the car is silver but yet the panel lines are dark even after using the metalizer paints........
  23. Quick build I knew it was too good to be true
  24. If you look at the metalizers, they have various shades, I usually go with the darkest but it really does not matter, at the end of your painting session they will look dark, not silvery. I use the sharpie on the white plastic and this gives me an idea how the panel lines will look at the end, that's just me being picky After I prime the car I will flow more metalizer paint into the lines, sand my primer and fix any imperfections and prime again. I stop flowing paint into the lines on my last primer coat, there will be enough paint in the lines for a good finishing effect. Hope this helps..............
