    '55 Chevy

Loved this model Randy, I thought it should have been the winner at the meeting of course with all due respect to my boys Lyle and Mike
  2. I can vouch for Bill, saw it today at the meeting and it is a beauty
  3. Very nice and clean build my friend, nice choice of color
  4. Nothing beats satellite radio, from news to country to latin and anything you want and best of all, commercial free
  5. Big VW fan here, just became your fan bro, cool work on both of them.........
  6. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...5/dscn6375.html Hey, Barbo, don't you remember this Porsche, I had it with me on my trip to Puerto Rico when you had Bill Geary and myself as judges. Yes, I am definitely a big Porsche fan, always have been, I just haven't built enough of them that's all.......

    A Purple Bike.....

Always thought how these bikes would look in this color, thanks for answering my question, cool job..... 8)
  8. Can't wait for this one to be completed, thanks for all the advice and for not hiding whatever it is that you do with your models, you are a rolling school man
  9. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...6/dscn0006.html I have never had any problems using alclad but my take on it is that I mostly use it on small parts and on rims that don't have that chromy look but instead like a highly polished aluminum. To tell you the truth, I have alcladed parts for a lot of people and it seems to me that those parts always come out better than my own  At least my secret is making sure to heat up my black enamel paint pretty good, put at least four coats of it on the part and make sure to really wet coat that last coat. I like using 10 PSI out of my airbrush when shooting the alclad and like you guys know, 2 light coats tops.......
  10. Great color choice and stance and the quality of the pictures really make it stand out..........
  11. Model Car World paints are a little on the light side for me, I personally have a paint jobber close to me thank God and he happens to sell the Valspar line of paints which are the makers of House of Kolors paints. I pay about 15.00 dollars for half a pint and he mixes any paint I want from any year or model  I am very satisfied with his service and his paints are dead on right.
  12. Thanks for the pics Lyle.........

    Like always, very nice Jeff........
  14. Very cool, love your flames man, nice job......
  15. Yes Marc, like I said, I am not a big tuner fan but this kit has many possibilities and it is very well engineered too. The box art does not do it any kind of justice, I bought mine after seeing one of my fellow club members build one and I had to do one......
  16. In my opinion those lines should be scribed specially if the color will be light, nothing beats the look of a model with every line scribed. I use the back of a number 11 x-acto blade to do this with a lot of patience specially if it is a resin body, don't force the blade at any moment just let it do it's job and after you are done before and after priming just fill the lines with testors exhaust buffing metalizer, once you touch those lines capillary action will draw the paint right into the scribed lines. Prime the body at the end again and once you start painting I am positive you will like the results
  17. Hey bro, you give that car the right stance with those wheels and tires and it's really going to stand out. I always said that the most important thing aside from a professional paint job is wheel and tire combinations and stance
  18. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...6/dscn6557.html This is my most recently completed project, not a big tuner fan but I do love this body style. Decided to use the Pegasus sleeves and join them with one of the three different rims that come in the Revell Acura kit, I thought the rims that came with the kit were too" DONKEE" looking for my taste. The paint is Tamiya black with clear and a rub down, polished and waxed.......The rims were dechromed, shot with a coat of Magnesium from the testors metalizers line of paints and covered with two coats of clear.
  19. Hy Chad, I am with you on that, arrowhead is kind of simplistic, bought some parts from them not long ago, thinking if I am going to use them or not
  20. It's begging for a rub down more than the genie bottle! Nice choice of color, hope to see it soon.......
  21. In actuallity, I prefer the polishing part more than the painting, dust just really has a way of pi%*#@ing me off and yes I will admit it, I want to see you finishing something Hope to see you there on Sat. with the Cuda and the Chilli
  22. Looks like an interesting project Dan, bring it to the next CPMCC meeting to check it out and if you are afraid of painting it black don't worry, when you see my black 350Z Ijust painted you just might want me to paint it for you, it would be an honor man
  23. House of Kolors Lime Gold..............
  24. Hey guys, I tried that same clear since I saw Bill's 59 Buick and it really works great, I thinned it a bit with Tamiyas thinner on an extra hood I had lying around my parts box and like he says in dries rock hard but you have to make sure you give it plenty of time to dry, it is slow drying......Thanks for the advice Bill, I will use it some day on a model.....
  25. Sweeeeet! I think i am going to McDonalds in the afternoon. Nice job.......
