  5. Nice job man, one thing about these bigger scale cars is that they force you to add more detail and they always pay off

    This one is mine!

http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...5/dscn9099.html Hey Billy, this one's for you, had to leave this one with a special friend on my trip to Puerto Rico early this year but it's for a good cause and a very unique friend.......
  15. They threw me down in the basement laundry room which gets pretty cold since I have a finished basement but not a finished laundry room. Prior to any painting sessions I will turn on my electric heater for about an hour to get the room temperature nice and toasty and I will turn on my food dehydrator with the model and paints inside at about 105 degrees for the same amount of time. I also bought a cup warmer, the ones usually used in the offices to keep the coffee warm at the desk and what I do is keep my paints warm at all times by placing them at the edge of the warmer, the middle is a little too warm and it does a magnificent job at keeping the paint warm no matter if it's a can or airbrushing bottle. Of course working with all these heat sources next to these flamable paints will keep you pretty much alert, at least that would be my advice to anybody trying this at home........
  16. SWEEEEEEEEEET! Thanks for the update Prez..............
  17. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...5/dscn8007.html Built this one about a year ago, it is the Lindberg Impala and I think it's a great kit

    LUCIFER

It's gonna look good but it also will need the aid of an exorcist  Nice color man......
  20. Yes Ramon, I finally remembered the color, it is 50's Aqua, could not seem to remember, had to go to the hobby shop to refresh my memory. The thing is that I loaded it into a small bottle to airbrush it and forgot that this color did not come in half ounce model master bottles.. I still thinned it a bit and just polished and waxed the paint after letting it dry for a month.
  21. Looks interesting compatriot, hope you can finish this one soon, I think i'm gonna love it........
  22. http://public.fotki.com/mjcole/central_pa_...ober/cruz1.html Hey Bill, this is a picture of mine, don't think you have seen it yet. I painted mine with HOK Lime Gold and Odds and Ends clear from Wal-mart, wet sanded and polished. Did not have any issues with the body while painting but then again I have never had any issues while using my favorite Floquil primer  Pegasus rims and tires are the choice for its shoes and of course I lowered it a little more than usual for the ground hugging effect. Hope you like it and just to let you know I am happy that you are taking a little more time to build your models a little quicker for our enjoyment, I mean, I love to see those really detailed models of yours but brother I can assure you we will have more fun seeing more of your models on the tables Hope to see you at our next get together......
  23. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun, too bad I wasn't there but congrats to the winners and none winners also. My salutations go to Miguel Barbosa and Luis Ayala, really close friends of mine but also to the other people that made the event possible. If anyone has a chance to visit these guys specially around NNL time you will not be dissapointed. Bill Geary can vouch for that, just ask him where he was this last February 5th and he will tell you......To Gregg and Jairius, thanks for visiting the Island, Miguel is trying to get Lyle Willits and a bunch of MAMA members to go and you guys are the perfect witnesses........
  24. Hey Ismael, looks like you guys had a great time down in Puerto Rico, you think that you might be able to post pics from the show? Congratulations to the winners and hope you got had a trophy of your own..........
