  2. Chose a color, Testors one coat lacquer De Ja Blue. Chrome is also testors.
  3. Now that you mention it, it is quite a drop, haven't really noticed it till right now. I am planning on maybe a little lower than stock for the front.
  4. Update #1 Cut the fender wells, and springs. Notice the difference in stock spring versus custom spring. This is the difference between stock suspension height and custom height. Sorry for the quality of the pictures.
  5. After some stuff went down last night, I was a little sad. But the mailman made my day, I received my "61 Impala 409 convertible. I got the hardtop version a long time ago, all i did was paint it, and I put it away because i lost the inspiration. Now I have the inspiration to work on it. Im panning to do the hardtop stock, and the converitble a lowrider.
  6. My brother got mad at me for something that makes no sense. Well I was working on a 49 Mercury, and he hit it with something. Is there any way I can fix it without messing up the paint. Anything will help, I love the paint on this, and I don't want to redo the paint. Thanks.
  7. My friend asked me to do a 65 Impala with a roof like yours, now I know how to do it since I saw this post. Great looking car
  8. Im loving that stance
  9. I was just reading my towns newspaper website, and Hobby Lobby might open a store right across the street from where I live. I hope it opens that way I dont have to go across town to get most of my modeling accessories.
  10. This is a quick picture of some of my finished models. Sorry for the quality, my battery died so this will have to do for now. I will take individual pictures for each car, when i get some batteries. '49 Merc '57 Chevy '61 Imapala '07 Shelby GT-H '68 Charger '86 Monte Carlo donk '07 Charger '09 Challanger '69 Challanger and 2 '64 Impalas
  11. I bought this car a while back I got about 85% done then I lost some parts. Digging through my parts boxes, I found some of the missing parts that i was mating to it. The seats are out of the R8 the grille out of a Dub City Mustang, as is the steering wheel and tail lights. The blower comes from 68 Corvette. I am going with blue and white combination. Im stille trying to decide on what rims I am going to use, I'm debating between the stock wheels or some custom rims out of my parts box.
  12. Those cars are ridiculous, thats why I think they are awesome. I'll be waiting for updates on this one.
  13. Very nice man, mine just came in the mail today. Hopefully it will look almost as nice as yours.
  14. I have been wanting to build a donk for a while, I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into building one of these cars. I got the blower from a 1970 Dodge Challenger I am working on. I have so many cars on my workbench. I hope to finish some of them soon.
  15. Here are some quick updates. The red one, decided to make it a resto-mod, stock wheels but custom mostly everything else. The black one is now purple, havent really worked on it. The '60 impala is almost done. The '49 merc is about 95 percent done. And finally, i recently picked up the '57 bel air.
  16. Here is an update on the Impalas and a few new ones that i got. and here are the new ones a 1960 impala a 1949 merc here are the 4 cars that i am currently working on
  17. Finished this one the other day, but since I did not have a camera, and was using my phone and the picture quality was horrible with it, I am barely uploading pics. It could add more detail, but maybe in the future.
  18. I built one of these a while back, in the process of clear coating it, my dog got to it and chewed it up. I miss it, and looking at yours I miss it a little more. Good looking build. Congratulation on the superb build
  19. Thanks guys I'm thinking of doing the red one doing three wheel motion. I am still unsure.
  20. Another one on my bench. Candy apple red 1964 Impala. The black one is getting the suspension redone. The suspension setup is from the black one. Heres the chassis. This was the original suspension setup on the black one. One day i decided to fiddle with it, and ended up modifying the rear suspension, now I am going to change the front suspension.
  21. Finally chose the new color, purple-liscious, and got a new kit This is my second Impala you can see the other one in an above picture, im also redoing that one. It seems that I am never happy with certain models I just keep redoing them.
  22. here are some pics clearer pics i wish new phone had a focus feature
  23. Its been a while since I have been here. I built this one a while back, but I decided to redo it. Its a BMW 320i, it had a Ferrari V8, and now has a Ferrari V12, out of the 612 Scaglietti. (Sorry for the crappy quality pics.) I will try to take some better quality pics as soon as i can.
  24. Finally done. Will post pics soon. Had a little trouble working on it, just couldnt get myself to finish it, today i was anxious waiting for something speacial tommorow, so i sat down and forced myself to work on it and finish it. Also i have a few other models that still need work (2 Calsonic Skylines, 1 Acura NSX, 1 Toyota Supra, 1 64 Impala, 1 Lamborghini Countach, Repainted a 69 Continental, 1 Top Secret Skyline, and a 32 5-window coupe) I need to work on them, to get over this slump that i am going through, I just need to find some inspiration.
