Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I forgot to mention that I still have most of my modelling supplies from 10 years or so ago when I quit doing this the second time. Also, I found several photo etched goodies in with these new cars. I wish I hadn't sold off my old stuff, especially now since I went to the local hobby shop and saw that most kits are 20-25 dollars! That'll make you reconsider what you're doing in a heartbeat! I should also say though that there are a ton of parts on spues as well, I feel very lucky to have found this bunch! Hi guys! I am a twice over retired modeller, I have been doing this stuff off and on for almost forty years! Not that I am any kind of a pro, I just like to work with my hands. I hate cold and rain so I spend a lot of my winter months inside. I got into vintage RC cars in the last few years and I really enjoy taking basket cases and turning them into beauty queens. It can get expensive at times though! I also like to build full size hot rods and in pursuit of that hobby I attended a swap meet a few weeks ago. I had only been there a few minutes when I ran across a vendor with a gigantic box of model cars that was labeled $35 for the entire box. I started pawing through them idly and noticed that they were all projects that had been started. I also noticed that there was quite a bit of good quality custom work. Well, I made a snap decision and offered the guy $30 for the box, which he accepted. I had no idea what was in the box past the top layer or so but I figured it was cheap entertainment, sort of like a grab bag. When I got the box home and inventoried I found that I had about 35 to 40 solid projects. Most this stuff has been sitting for several years but is in decent condition. Here are a few that I am considering as my first re-introduction to the hobby.
