  1. Really nice looking truck! Love the weathered gold paint.
  2. Very creative! Interior is simple and functional.
  3. I'd suggest water? There may be something better.
  4. I am pleased that it is December and we had a 72 degree day today. ?
  5. I have a Mido that I love, but it's a quartz. It has the best band of any I own. I gave away my only titanium watch for the same reason. I have a Hamilton as well, a Khaki King Scuba I hate to admit how many watches I have. I've given some to family members and even let my son choose one out of my entire collection one Xmas. He chose this: I'd say he has good taste! The irony of all this is that I'm now retired and wear watches only occasionally. My wife won't let me sell them as she thinks they will retain some value. ?
  6. Yes, Nezumi's are nice watches. I really like Seiko, Bulova, Zodiac and many microbrands.
  7. Very well thought out weathering on that car.
  8. We do tend to always rationalize, don't we?
  9. Watch collecting is a seriously slippery slope my friend. If you're not aware there is a website called Watchuseek that caters to that particular hobby. I recommend staying on the Affordable Watches sub-forum for friendly folks and great watches that don't break the bank.
  10. I dig it. Don't give up but take your time and don't rush it. It's too kool to just slap it together so you can call it done.
  11. Very cool! I'd like to get started on mine but the replacement frame for my twisted one I just got from Moebius got snapped in half by good ol' USPS. ?
  12. Yeah I can see why. It would be hard to mess up that nice finish.
  13. Yeah, it was really hard. I had 3 "toy" cars when I retired and we moved 2000 miles away. I just couldn't take them with me because we moved before we bought a place. The cash infusion was nice though...
  14. Excellent execution of your vision!
  15. That would definitely turn heads in any campground!
  16. This is really beautiful. Looks like the real thing! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. My buddy in high school had a 71 Demon. He thrashed the poo out of that poor car. If we'd only known.
  17. I'd like to have the guy that I sold this to re-gift it to me...
  18. If you could source a second grill it might be cleaner and easier to cut the entire "teeth" section from the surround, cut them both in half and using both passenger sides -flip one and glue to represent the driver side. This would give you just one vertical seam to deal with.
  19. Wow! Amazing engineering going on here!
  20. Hi David. The black on the body is paint. It is pretty smooth with only a couple minor flaws. The flames are nice. I can't imagine how much work went into that. What I can see though is that 1) The car is not nearly as clean as I thought, and 2) I really need to work on my photography!
  21. Extremely clean build. In fact it might be the cleanest wrecker I've ever seen! ?
  22. Thank you for the link and additional information. I suppose one could crate jacking slots in the bumper if so inclined.
  23. Interesting information. I guess I can call him. Not very interested in sending a check. I'm very used to and comfortable with the modern way of commerce and I've not written a check for months, if not years. Seems downright primitiv Do you have any idea about the quality of this casting? I'd rather rework good styrene kits than deal with an expensive, poorly cast resin one. Also would still need to purchase kits for the underpinnings, etc.
  24. Really well done! Very...er...lifelike!
  25. This looks really great! I have an embarrassing number of 1/8 kits that are collecting dust. This build is inspirational!
