you are so right guys, as you may know by now i live in a model dry town.....here one would think that they are illegal or something, meeting you guys and sharing info ect. is very helpful and it opens new doors to someone like me that has very limited resources to find things that one wants or needs. not to mention meeting others with the same love of the hobby...........mark

thats sweet, i seen an old scale auto mag where i guy had built a really cool old steam powered on and was thinking be cool load for a lowboy trailer, or a salvage lot diorama. article said tit was a toyish hard plastic,very simplified kit of some sort maybe a promo type deal...p & e i think is what they called it. i wonder where they got it ever since i seen the photos. would be a really cool salvage lot claw if one could find one. seeing it made me think of doing a diorama of a salvage lot with old cars ect. laying around with a few loaded on a 60s or 70s era semi with flat bed trailer. if anyone knows which one thy used and if its 1/25th or 1/24th scale and where i might be able to get my hands on one let me know..............thanks...........mark

hi, i was wondering if anyone ever made a 1/25th or 1/24th scale steam or early diesel power shovel ? im interested in building one for a diorama load for a flatbed trailer..............ideas?.........thanks mark

hi mark nellis, sweet collection!!!! a lot of the same things make us tick, just looking at the old box art raises my spirits knowing that there are still some of them out there. i save the old boxes just to look at, makes better wall paper than my wife can pick out. ill take a thumb tack in the center of the bottom half into the wall then slide lid on, doesnt hurt them a bit. know any good hobby shops in my area like yours?.............thanks mark

hi everyone, my favorites are fairly vast .....1960 to mid 70s from jo-han, mpc, amt, smp, ertl blueprint series, cars,4 door, wagons,vans,pickups, big trucks,trailers,ect. monograms show rods, and am starting to get into diorama, i usually build factory stock versions however will from time to time build custom vans, farm tractors, speed boats. i seem to be called by the strange and grandma cars. all in 1/25th or 1/24th scale. sometimes it really nice to be able to build a plane jane everyday car instead of always a super muscle car.......................mark

hi, how says a rolling brick can win a race.........glad the van won-out. i have a friend that has the kit of a team van, i think hes yet to do something with it. i think he may have lost interest.will keep a eye on your build.....................mark

sweet kit !!!! A COOL BONNEVILLE AND A BOAT, ive been trying to find one around here but they never showed up like usual. my dry town i live in really ssss, we have a hobby lobby and they dont even get anything accept the same old stuff no one wants or they have built 16 of the same thing. we have one high priced so called hobby shop that has had the same stuff on their selves so long the boxes are faded out from the sunlight and never anything new......cant wait to see it looks like when built.........thanks...mark

hi chuck, i like it the engine looks cool yo me, its different and im one of those people that like things that are different. i have a in line six in my dads old 64 falcon and plan on it staying in there even though its a falcon sprint. yours has the old muscle look and to me it gets a little old seeing / building nothing but high performance cars, the everyday vehicles grab my attention every time....stuff like you see on every day street. keep up the good work ! .............mark orr

hi joe, a friend of mine years ago had a rally sport nova , dont know what color they called it but it was kind of a tangerine? with white rs stripes and black interior beautiful car. haulin hearse.........gloss lemon yellow with semi gloss white top, thats how i would redo mine if i could find easy to use decal set.........any ideas ? this was my first kit, my dad got it for me to build....lets say i didnt know how to use decals back then......since then ive redone it but would like to build it as it is on the box, and will if i ever come across the decals to do so. i have always loved the johan kits, wish someone would reissue them all. well thats what i would do with mine anyway.......but in the end its up to you ..............mark..............disabled modeler

someone take the shoes and the truck keys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think for what its worth that looks pretty cool to me............i love wagons from the 60s and 70s, even had one in high school. everyone kind of laughed un till they found out it was a retired state police interceptor car, 455 v8, auto, 373 posi, factory 3 inch quiet duals.............they found out the hard way $$$$$$$$$............your wagons cool and i like the wheels, cant hardly wait to see it done.........mark orr............disabled modeler

hi Lownslow,..............just a suggestion i through out there for anyone with the same leftovers,might as well do something with them ? technically i guess one could say it would be a chevy ext. cab/avalanche ? ive been thinking and i know you see smoke on this one, making a earlier ford expedition out of some old damaged 73/79 ford pickups and a bronco, or a crew cab pickup but couldnt find the cab parts..........maybe an idea for someone else to try???? .............mark...............disabled modeler,.........see now im awake..........

hi dave, im very sorry to hear of your fathers passing.....i lost my grandmother a few months ago, its a hard event to get past as it was for me,we were very close...im sure your dad is happy that you will continue your work as we are. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family..........god bless......mark..........disabled modeler

hi , i like both but the van would call to me with more volume , the thing with vans is you just dont see many real true sized vans anymore. they give you many building options of what to build it as, stock, custom, wild drag, conversion, camper, or just a everyday family hauler.....one of my favorites is the amt chevy van mini motor home which i have but need parts for, anyway the van could be built stock cargo van, stock window van, or a very cool open road raised roof camper with full camper interior very sweet . in my opinion it was one of the best kits of a van ever made, wish they would reissue it. the guys like me that love 60s and 70s stuff would love it. what ever you build if your hearts in it , it will come out great. thanks disabled modeler, mark
