  1. I look forward to other kit's being debated ""trashed out"" with the same vigor regardless of their origns Charlie as we've discussed a few times in the chat room with regards to the tooling , it's probably wise to referre to actual fact's rather than general thought s on the subject, and I mean that in a positive manner.. Speaking personally from 15 years as a toolmaker building Prototype Molds you'd get very little in the form of a Mold for $30,000 and that's not including design. I'm looking forward to buying the kit and attempting to build an Alan mann car from it. . Is there another "plastic Kit" alternaitive available it's propably been mentioned..but through the 12 odd pages I might have missed it
  2. savage... build.. thanks for shown and sharing your natural ability... Brilliant ..!!! I salute you.. ..
  3. brilliant pic's and link to photo's looks like a very high standard there.. I love this diorama... although there presence outside this burn out house ..has me baffled.. a couple of theory's it must have just happened..and they called over to see all was ok..!! the guy in the flight gear parked in the drive lives there and just came back off nights ..to find it burned,,(his neighbour saved the dog...) or simply there a car show near by andthey happened to take advantage of the parking at this burned out place...
  4. Interesting build Mike... look forward to watchin this WIP

  11. Great idea recycling these containers.. I used these plastic Tubs from our local takeaway.. they are transparent.. about 6"x 8" 2"tall stackable.. I purchase quality ice cream for My wife.. and use the tub... idea for for bodies or WIP...storage similar size to the above but 3" tall with rounded ends.. stackable. and for larger items..I use these... My local shop keeps them for me..I usually get about 5 a week... handy for full 1;1 car resto stuff also..(my other interest.) these are 8"x 8" and 4 1/2 deep transparent and with lids

  19. excellent.. The 7's Trans is known as (2000e box) and is regarded as the box of choice for that eara car..(in Uk /ireland for road use..) used In all the Lotus Cortina's..Mk1 and Mk2 the Lotus 7 naturally.. Mk1 Lotus escort and naturally the Corsair 2000E ..from which it got it's name.. . naturally the presence of a slave cylinder on the bellhouseing may require plumbing to your pedal box.. (shown below with thew aperture for the clutch fork and slave cylinder hole opposite which I'm sure ye already know.. )
