  1. The micheals here always have kits on clearance. They usually do it when they get new kits in. Ive yet to see them make the modeling section smaller. Its usually just new inventory.
  2. Theres one of a 1/20th tamiya F1 car that was very detailed and had many parts to it. I find these videos quite informative.
  3. Nope they are 1/12th. I built an RC version of the midnight pumpkin which was the same kit with different chassis. the bodies from these RCs are quite nice. I think using detail parts from a 1/12th camaro or soemthing would be sick.
  4. Not sure why the bashing on Dukefan even started to begin with but I am sure glad that school is out for the summer. I hate waiting for the yellow school buses in the morning while sitting in my car. Now I can leave the house later and still get to work the same time. EDIT: LMAO at Marks gif. ^^^
  5. Ive used it a few times. Just make sure the primer is completely dry before you apply the paint or it might crack or bubble.
  6. Id just start with a level 2 kit. Both AMT and Revell offer a bunch of kits that are american muscle and whatnot. Maybe you can start with making a replica of your 1:1?
  7. Im pretty sure its just called hobby lobby. They are a craft store similar to micheals or AC moore. Heres their website: http://hobbylobby.com/
  8. for me itd be the 427 chevy which was equipped in the copo camaros.
  9. Someone didn't check the post date...
  10. Im pretty sure the sale of those old cars arent forbidden. You can actually view some of them for sale on Cuba's craigslist. http://www.revolico.com/autos/carros/ford-1956-como-nuevo-una-joyi-1270115.html http://www.revolico.com/autos/carros/chevy52-en-perfecto-estado-rue-1364742.html http://www.revolico.com/autos/carros/nueva-foto-chevrolet-57-4-pue-1356024.html EDIT: I also found a knockoff jeep. Thought it was interesting. Apparently it has a Nissan engine in it. http://www.revolico.com/autos/carros/vendo-willys-moderno-con-mot-1163431.html
  11. Thought Id start on this project. This is like my 3rd model Ive built so here it is. Comments are welcomed.
  12. Who said you cant roll paint on a car? Sure it aint no show car but, cant beat it for 15bucks. I actually still have 2 coats of paint left to put on it, and buff the paint.
  13. Heres another thats pretty crazy IMO. I consider them lucky they didnt hit someone and kill themselves or something. http://www.break.com/index/crazy-kids-ghost-ride-the-whip2.html
  14. Sweet can man. I think the proportions look a lot better now. It reminds me of the challenger they had on overhaulin.
  15. Here is my other ride, was my daily up until I got my speeding ticket. Now its mainly my weekend toy.
  16. I guess ill jump in on this since the date has been extended. I'll make a run to the store morrow to see what i can get with my coupon.
  17. Yup stock my jeep was a 93 sahara, hence the YJ-93 I painted on the bumper. I ordered tube fenders for it a few days ago and am gonna get some rocksliders.
  18. Im gonna have to look that up, really want a YJ model aswell so I can make a replica of my daily driver.
  19. Well decided to check the kit stash a few days ago and found a sweet jeep kit I forgot about. SO Im gonna start building it. Im not going with the box art, instead Im gonna make a replica of my uncle's CJ he has. The kit is a Dukes of Hazard Daisy Duke Jeep kit. BTW does anyone know if any model company makes a model of a late 80s to early 90s jeep wrangler kit? Also know as a YJ, the only wrangler with square headlights.
  20. Finally had time to pick this project back up again. Heres an update of what it looks like so far. Mostly mockup on the body to see how everything fits. Most of the interior is done and the engine is mostly done except some small details here and there.
  21. Best bet is tamiya. Not sure if they have one that is exactly that model, but tamiya has a lot of model bikes you can check out.
  22. Actually since we talked about it today I made a trip to hobby lobby today after school. I got a nice dodge super bee 2 in 1 kit for 5 bucks in the clearance aisle.
  23. I go to the local one here all the time. Thye generally have a good selection on models and at better prices then small hobby shops. However if your looking for a particular kit don't expect to find it there. They do have instore sales in their clearance aisle and most of the time they have old models or lasts years models on sale there. The also have discounts on plastic kits about once every 2 months and around christmas time. Usually it will be printed in the weekend ad or on their website. Also every other week they print a 30-40% off coupon on any single item in their ad. I have seen 50% off coupons before aswell but harder to come by. As for accepting other coupons im not sure, i think they accept manufacturer coupons. I think that should answer most of your questions. Almost forgot they are closed on Sundays, atleast the one here is anyways.
  24. Was browsing and wondering what everyone here drives. So post your pics of your car, truck suv, whatever on here. I'll start heres my daily driver. Also have a firebird for cruisin and picking up dates I'll post pics of that when I get a chance to get it out of the garage.
