  1. Thanks guys, well I've gone about as far as I can with this one till I can get some 70's contingencies and some white decal paper (for the one I've never seen done). Had to change the windscreen tin,and have added all the chute cables etc including the release cable off the roll cage.
  2. I live a couple hours south of Paul and humidity is always an isue here, so polishing the haze out is almost always a necessity . No havent seen the Doc yet,got some other stuf to carry me through till I see him. Its supposed to be nasty stuff but looks like candy compared to the side effects of what your on . Good luck with the paint
  3. Rob, we quite often have that problem down under, (paint issue) not sure about the yellow snow . Once the paint is dry, a light polish removes the haze to restore a nice even glossy sheen all over, might be worth a crack. You could always practise writing your name while waiting for the paint to dry
  4. Nice work Roger, another Mopar masterpiece from You
  5. Me either John I agree Roger, I think it's Joes best work yet
  6. Those fastners look fantastic Brad, really finishes the tin off,
  7. Excellent little tut Brad, thanks for sharing it
  8. Now the paint, its far from perfect but I am pretty happy with it. Not the easiest job to get symmetrical, but huge thanks go to 1320 Wayne for sending me a scan of the old kit decals, they hadnt scanned the best but gave me a pretty good guide for the paint.
  9. Thanks guys, installed the brake lines replaced the kit rear tires on the left with some parts box ones , a little wider but same height.Couldn't go any taller without interfering with the interior tin. Engine detailing is done, just need to go back and do a bit of paint touchup now
  10. Lookiing real good now
  11. Personally I like seeing doorslammers that are slightly out of the ordinary so with your skills, I know this will be a killer build Darryl. Love the cage work, very nice
  12. Wow Joe ! I scrolled down to get hit in the face with a money shot This is really coming together great, keep it up man.
  13. Whilst this era of drag racing is a little early for my taste, You've done a great job on this Nick. A totally beleivable little guy digger.

  15. some great detailing there Ed, nice work
  16. I use spark plug wire for the release cable and curtain cord for the anchor cable
  17. Kinda the reason I'm too tight to buy them, afraid I'ld lose them all
  18. Looking good Rob !
  19. thanks guys. appreciate the nice comments In a word no but I'm too tight to buy the pro stuff . Just a pity you gotta make five to get two ( when they shoot out of the tweezers to the modelling gods)
  20. looking good Joe. Now dont take this as gospel but, fuel engines usually use a magneto which unlike a distributor has its own coil built into it.So imho your ignition box would be all you need.
  21. HAha, proof that your a modelling freak he's got three hands lol, how else is he taking the pics. rofl. Awesome work buddy, you've got to be happy with that
  22. Thanks Darryl, nearly made myself go blind today (no not like that ) I did the rest of the engine detailing (well most of it ). All A/N fittings are scratch built out of toys twist ties and hex styrene drilled then rounded off ends. Fuel shut off and throttle linkages are bits of coke can. test fit as you can see the body's being remasked for the orange pinstirping and tiding up some of the orange bits, all hooked up in the chassis still need to do the accelerator linkages and spring paint the sump and redo the headers in flat black. Thanks for checking in
  23. awesome looking combo Darryl
