The old AMT snap fast kit's getting a bit of an upgrade. Body mold lines ie around windows and doors was nearly non existent and when I finally managed to cut the hood out found it was about 2.5 mm thick. Made some gutter channels for the front guards using a top sportsman floor for the munting huge tubs and rear suspension,Front and rear tires are from the AMT pro street superebee as is the basic engine. Parts box supercharger and hat, resin seats and carbs . Stance is as it sits
  14. Dont do it !! lol . It seems to be some sort of time vortex that if you dare enter sucks away hours of your life at a time. The good thing about it is a LOT of people who have never joined forums (of any sort) are sharing a lot of never seen before car pics, modern and nostalgia so reference or eye candy can be in abundance.Trouble is finding it to start with, but once you find some they inevitably lead to others.
  15. The wife built a convertible version with no real issues that I remember, I have 2 to build but yeah they;re a bit bigger than 1:24th imo too
  16. Thanks guys, I appreciate it . Mike , yes polar lights cuda. Steve, no I work at night, this was done in the afternoons, Quick breakdown, Monday broke the seal on box, dealt with the little amount of flash and assembled the frame and engine halves. Tuesday , dealt to the injector pin marks on tin, sanded body and put most sub assemblies together. Then primed everything to be painted. An hour or so later painted everything then cleared the body. Wednsday , installed glass then decaled body while glass was held by tape till the glue set. Sanded rear slicks and put wheels and tires on car then foiled to finish.
  17. Nice work T ! Its coming along great
  18. couple of outside shots, some of the decals are proving to be rather elusive and I cant even find some of them on the web, however it looks pretty good sitting on the shelf without them so I'm calling it done for now
  19. Thanks guys,First up here's a new pic of my original cop out duster built towards the end of 07 and here's the new version started 2 days ago The blue was a custom mix dupont blue with a bit of pearl white to lighten it and when I 'd painted the body I misted some pearl green around the body lines, hardly visable but you can see it in person in certain lights
  20. Beautiful job on the pro stock Dave, you need to show these guys your Pony Express (nevermind its in the big boys setion, you guys have to check it out if you havent seen it)
  21. Well it was a cop out , started last night (put frame together) and some sanding. Everything else was done this afternoon. Just going to be box stock with a different paint scheme (as I already have a copout done). Get a load of these injector pin marks Darker pic is a better representation of the colour should be finished tomorrow night.
  22. Thanks Niko. Does anyone have a good copy of the ATI logo on the front of the Al Segrini car?
