  1. Richard, look at the pics again, the first pic of the camaro, the first of the challenger. They're both sitting on pro sportsman chassis to give me a feel (if you like) for where I'm headed with them. Both will be stretched, wedged and chopped a little to more resemble more mordernish type bodies but maybe not quite as extreme as the current wave of cars that IMHO are looking more and more like shapeless modern day funny cars. What I'm hoping to achieve are cars with modern design elements pertaining to their respective classes that still resemble the factory version without having to rely on grilles or badges to identify them . One problem I have is, at the speed which I get stuff done( re impatience ), its often a little late for others to offer advice or opinions, But I'm always open to either even if I have to pull something back apart to redo it. With the funnycars the engines will be moved forward in the chassis a little so the blower etc just clear the bottom of the windscreen which I hadnt allowed for when cutting out the zoomie openings as its something I have just decided on. Not a huge deal but goes to show I'm not afraid of redoing things to get them right. Instead of adding a wedge at least to the camaro fc I'll be taking one out not sure how much at this stage but probably about 6mm at the front, I thing the body looks too thick along the sides. Opinions????????? Will be working on other stuff today so feel free to post them up.
  2. Rob, try finding a hotwheels Rigor motor (I think) its like a coffin shaped altered. It has two skulls, be about the perfect size for what you want
  3. on the average day , like this
  4. Thanks guys, Mike , thats be the plan.ya'll can tell me if ya think I'm pulling it off Straight after the first post I headed to the room with saw in hand
  5. gonna start on the o6 camaro concept first with the 09 challenger right behind it. Be doing funny car and pro mod bodies out of both of them. They will be retaining as much as the factory look as possible eg they will still look like a camaro and challenger ( I hope) when I'm done. Couple of teaser shots, but I will be getting straight into the body work on these
  6. Thanks everyone, I've applied another thin skim of putty, I also brought the top of the rear wheel arches down, after I've sanded the putty again I'll add a small lip around the rear wheel housings and the header openings and blend them in
  7. Cleaned up ready for the black stripes and rear wing
  8. Thanks Niko
  9. Started this one last night, much the same as the 60 vette I've done previously
  10. Mike, I think he's seen the light lol. Looks great so far T , cant wait to see what you come up with for paint
  11. Thanks guys . Richard ,, the original decals although slightly yellowed laid down nicely but after I cleared them and masked over them to get better placement for the red paint, the tape peeled parts of the decal off. I did scan them first so was able to use those for the stripes which is all I had applied but neither the front one (spoiler) or hood one would lay straight and I ended up pulling both off. The side ones aren't great either but dont seem to be to noticeable (at least till I told ya'll ).Going to give it a wet sand and re-clear it then I'll paint the black stripes by hand.
  12. Nothing wrong with box stock. Good looking build . Mine is one of my favorite builds too
  13. Thanks guys , Mustangs done, had some issues both with paint and decals on the Tempo (Bud King car) but still its nearly there
  14. Wow Darryl, dunno how I missed this one ! Great work man, that paint is killer!
  15. thanks guys, did some masking and threw a bucket of paint at them, need to improve my throwing I think lol, got a couple little touch ups to do on both but nothing to major mustang chassis Tempo chassis
  16. Fuel coupe twins that is. Couple old Monogram funny cars the Ford tempo "Budweiser King " of Kenny Bernstein and the Mustang "Chiefs Auto Parts 7-11 " of Billy Meyer. Bulk parts of both kits are identical, hence the twins reference. almost impossible to mask these cars off properly so I've applied and cleared the decals, will mask using parafilm (extremely low tack) and put other colors on after done here. Will take better photos today
  17. excellent job Darren

  19. Nice job Mitch !
  20. My two day slump buster (I hope) yep gasp horror lol I un pro streeted the 70 superbee to build a stock one, Switched most of the parts out with the ones from the AMT 68 road runner kit, steel wheels came from the AMT duster. Paints a Dupli color touch up can,Turbine Bronze I think. Decals are a bit shot on the drivers side, will replace when I get round to it I know theres a stock kit out there already but I had these kits already with plans a little racier for the RR so it worked out perfectly in that respect
  21. Bro, not only have you stepped into the big league, you've established yourself as one of the top dogs, Great job on a killer frame.
  22. Excellent work Niko, congrats on a great looking build
