Thanks! These tires and wheels do not come in the kit. I had picked them up at a show for $1.00, they're supposed to be chrome but someone had stripped them, I painted them aluminum. I don't know what kit/kits have them but I believe they're from certain Revell kits.

Thanks all!

I'm not sure how I will accurately paint the tail lights just yet. I'm kind of stalled from modelers block at the moment. I still have to paint the mirrors so I may try taping up all those little parts of the lenses.

Thanks! Those cars from the 80's and early 90's are my favorites as well. Although I like all kinds and types.

Throwback from the early 90's lol. Yes they will clearly be larger, it makes the original 16" wheel a 19" in diameter. Also gives it quite a bit of back spacing which in theory wouldn't work on the front in real life but makes it look cool.

Thanks everyone!

Painted with Testors one coat lacquer lime ice. Shaved door handles, shaved the body line that runs parallel with the trunk lid, molded in the firewall. Lowered the ride height as much as I could and used wheels from the parts box, not sure what the wheels were from. For the engine I used the carb set up and I wired the spark plugs, along with using photo etch wire looms. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Been working on this '92 Mustang convertible. Got it painted in Dupli-color Cayman green, an original Ford color. Got clear on and it's polished. Most of the engine is assembled, I drilled out the kit distributor and wired it. Lowered the rear suspension and still working on the front for the ride height. For the wheels I used the kit wheels and sanded them down until they fit into the 19" Pegasus sleeves. I used bare metal foil in the headlight buckets, it's kind of rough but I'm still fairly new to using BMF. That's about all I have done for now, I'll get more posted as I get more done.

I'm not sure if it's the same kit. A lot of parts may be similar though. -

It isn't hard. Something I have learned recently is prep work is most important. Also, the brand of primer you use, you should also use the color coats and clear coats from the same brand. Yes, I used Dupli-color acrylic enamel clear. -

There is some drama with fitting the hood, also a good bit of drama fitting the frame to the cab with the interior tub in place during final assembly. I had to heat the interior tub at the floor pans on both sides and reshape to give me about the 1/4 inch I needed to make it work. I honestly wouldn't recommend for a first time glue kit. But I guess that depends on how old your son is. The kit is good subject matter though. -

So far you are the only one that has noticed. Mine was accidental, one of them went down the sink drain. Its a very good thing I seen some pictures of a few 1:1 with this slight change. slammedi'am knows about this too Lol.
