  1. I have a few things I can't think of right now but I use this Ice cube tray to hold a LOT of stuff and it helps keep my bench clear.
  2. Well guys it's been a long time since I put something under glass. This needs a few touches that I want to see that are minor but for the most part she is done. This was built for my club meet (Moonlight Modelers) for glue bomb makeovers. My meeting was at 7pm and I took it to work and literally worked on it until 6:50pm to get it "done" My fiance messed up her leg and tore a ligament so I had no time to work on it. It paid off as I placed 2nd in the club. This car has a few firsts for me as I made seatbelts ,radio antenna, and cut the body and replaced damaged body parts. Thanks for looking and comments welcome. Enjoy!
  3. Here is my Jarius build Fairlane! It's a 1963 and this kit is a bit hard to find but thanks to a club member I was able to pick up this glue bomb. It's in great shape and I will start this soon. here is the preview.
  4. My wait is finally over! I finally got my starter kit and I actually found a 63! I have a grill on the way since this has a custom one. I'll post more pics in my bench thread. This will get the ol' workbench fired up for sure!
  5. I got a couple things last night. I got this large scale police Harley from Gordon's hobbies for $30. I also got my Jarius build 1963 Fairlane from a club member for $35. It's really cool as it has the detail info like change oil every 3,000 miles and such on the bottom. I had to add a little off topic in the pic as the Caprice got 2nd place in the meeting so I consider this a package deal ....
  6. That makes a very interesting Concept car. Good shape and reminds me of some drawings in the early 90's in Popular Science magazines that never came true. Neat work and I sketch concepts myself ( nothing good enough to post ) so I really dig this!
  7. I'll say my welcome as well and glad you made it! Hey if your going to be here as Murphy can you leave your law away from the work benches? Enjoy yourself here!
  8. Congrates Jim! I like to see your posts and comments and I agree on one thing very much.. Seeing everyones builds and tips and ideas, This place really does build ones model abilities. There are some great and talented people here and my skills have grown a lot just from looking at things here. It's cool that people share ideas and do not have the selfish it's my idea and you can't have it mentality
  9. That was cool. I couldn't copy either so I cheated
  10. I'm going real on this for a couple of small details.
  11. Outstanding!! Fantastic work man. I love this one! It came out so beyond cool!! I want one!
  12. Very cool I just bought the stuff to make an Ambulance similar to this as I was thinking there are none in scale that are modern. Nice work!
  13. Great timing I was actually thinking about this truck at work today! I like the color combo on the new idea. This is amazing bud!
  14. Glad your just sore and still with us Jason. Best wishes and hope you recover quickly.
  15. I love to see that people are willing to dig in and make it better! Being my Bronco looks like your torn apart pictures (Minus the cool mods you have) I love to see people restore or make a car better! I love when someone does a "Throw away car" They have no clue what they are missing
  16. I know that one Let alone get a model in the mail as soon as you pull it out to look at your kit the cat is in the box! This little girl takes everything
  17. YES! in the words of Cranky "EyeCandy!" I've been going nuts cause I know your building a lot at one time and I am sooooo diggin the buggy! The scout I love as well cause I would love to own one with a Warn winch if we actually had to drive these things in real life. Nice work and yes I watchin that truck. I'll be back to mine guys as soon as get one certain project off my table.
  18. I have found that phone wire is to big. I recently found great uses for it though. The best for wires I have found is floral wire. Hobby Lobby has it in different guages. Spray paint or air brush it as regular brush will fall off when you bend it. Now the phone wire I just tried a new trick. The insulation is perfect for spark plug boots ( poor mans way) and radio antenna boot when using guitar string. This is a sample with no color. I trimmed it down after this pic but it worked great!
  19. Great conversion as I am big fan of dare to be different and this truck certainly is. Great craftsmanship. I'd suggest making the bed and cab level to eachother. Other than that I'm really glad to see another build out of the box
  20. Hey Rodney what about an Inline diesel engine? Won't take the space but may be to long. I have a bunch of trucks I do not know the scale but the engine may fit. I got the idea at a thrift store today after a kid tore one apart and I went : I have those trucks duh!: Also you mentioned Dodge... I know I am in no way helping your thought process decide anything But your such a great guy in the trades that should I mention I have a Lil Red Express you could have and send me something
  21. Hey I think I have the right car for mine! I only have to wait to Saturday Ahhhh!!!! to long! I really can't wait to tear into this. Everyone in this build thanks for the posts here and on the bench as this is just to cool.. It's awesome to see everyone so fired up! I really thank you guys that had it as a local thing to expand and let us join in!
  22. I still see a crack... Just kidding Marty when I saw this about a week ago I had no clue it was this bad. I thought a purple pond swim and paint had this one covered. Nice work but beware of that big bad Chevy thats going to run your little Dodge off the road....... ( If I can get it done )
  23. Welcome to forum! check out various topics and threads! There are threads such as our work benches showing the tools and kits we work with. Another was about old kits that younger guys like me and younger than me had no clue were made. I bet a lot of your kits will make us happy! We LOVE eye Candy!
  24. I feel for you as this has happened to me but it was doing the inside of a real truck. As far as this comment..... Andrew,we're cursed by Murphy and his crazy law,one step forward, two back When I catch that Murphy I'm gonna beat him sensless for us all!
  25. Nice haul Trevor! I didn't know the made that VW I used to have a 86 Wolfsberg edition. That was 15" wheels was Huge Nice door prize and I really like the ASA cars. I've seen the Camaro but had no clue they made a T-bird. I smell a diorama Oh and thanks for the feedback guys on Model Wax. I had no clue there was model specific ones. I always used Turtle Wax rubbing compound first then liquid wax. Now I'm playing with Future and like it if I can get rid of the air bubbles
