  1. I got the two-tone paint all set, now I need to find some decals. It's red up top with flat black from the shoulder line down. It's a homemade drag racer theme. Oh, and BTW, the separation is hand-painted, no masking here! Note the blower hat peeking out... Oh, and the chrome also needs to be done!
  2. Hey I just wanted to make sure I've been entered into this build as I'm not on the list..... I'm really excited for this one, and I want to be a part of it Also, can I add a second build?
  3. It's sooooo wrong but oh, oh, oh so right!

    Top-notch work!
  5. New update: Body work is done, now time for some paint! http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/cobrawannabe/Ducktail1.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/cobrawannabe/Ducktail2.jpg
  6. Hahaha, the whole driver's side is in "primer" right now, you should see it! I m really liking this build, and I may have to pick up one of the chassis you mentioned later on in the build. This car is just so darned endearing!
  7. That's a piece of art. Drop-dead gorgeous.
  8. This may be my favorite build I've seen since i joined the boards! It's just so awesome in so many ways!
  9. The ducktail is all shaped and sanded, now I just have to spray it all (except the hood ofcourse!) in olive drab. I've decided to do a military theme with the paint.
  10. Actually, the ducktail is about half way done I'll have pics once it's finish sanded and in "primer".
  11. Hey, thanks, guys! The ducktail is in it's last layer of filler right now, and once I sand it, I'll post up pics. If I use one of those chassis, I may wind up actually keeping this one rather than using it for parts once it's done!
  12. Well, here's my current work in progress. It's an AMT kit. I am very disappointed with the fit/finish and the chassis. The rear axle, exhaust, and part of the trans are molded into it. That hasn't stopped me from saving it from my junk bin, and I have decided yo use it as my very first full kit-bash. Here's the mod list so far.... -HURST shifter -Centerlines -6-71 Blower set-up -Edelbrock valve covers -Long-tube headers -Rear bumper delete -Front Bumper delete -Rear valance molded in -Front Valance molded in -Shaved door handles -Raised "Mopar Mailbox" to clear the blower -Ducktail spoiler -Dropped front end Progress pics so far... Test-fitting blower, body, and body http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...nBarracuda2.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...nBarracuda1.jpg After sanding and minor body work http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg2.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg3.jpg Molding and such begins.... http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg4.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg5.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg6.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg7.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg7.jpg Right now, I'm waiting for the putty to dry on the ducktail so I can start sanding it.... What do you all think?
  13. Big changes since the last update. I slung some mud for the first time today! -Front bumper delete -Rear bumper delete -Front valance molded in -Rear valance molded in -Mailbox was lifted up to clear blower -Shaved door handles ( to create the look of fiberglass doors -Shaved side markers -Smoothed license plate bracket Here it is before the hardcore bodywork started and I was test-fitting the body... http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg2.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg3.jpg and after the shaving and molding. I'm still not sure if I'm going to "primer" the front valance or not... http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg4.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg5.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg6.jpg http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...racudaProg7.jpg I still plan on adding some sort of duck tail spoiler... Opinions?
  14. Well, you couldn't have done much more to make me happy than nail a Thunderbolt build. I am one hardcore Thunderbolt fan!
  15. Progress..... This is actually a resto-mod of a really botched completion for 2004 when I was 13...
  16. How's a '68 Barracuda with... -Flat Red w/ flat black scoops -Blower from a 454 stacked on top of the 383 -Big Rake -Street Tires -A touch of rust -Long tube headers -Roll Bar -5-point harnesses -Edelbrock valve covers -Sweet side pipes with Cherry Bobs Yup, it's going to be a classic, East Coast-style 70's street racer! Am I in?
  17. I'm gunna say model.
  18. Well, I guess my first post will involve one of my favorites.... 66 Chevelle Wagon with the Dual Quad 454 from the Revell ProStreet Chevelle. It's still not 100% done, but I'm getting there Before Swap: http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c.../1205091112.jpg The stock 396 had already been lightly modified... http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c.../1205091113.jpg Mock-up: It fits! http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c.../1205091350.jpg All Done! (sorta....) http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii233/c...1205091528a.jpg Please excuse my lack of skills, this is only my 7th completion, and the car was originally my fifth before the swap.
