  1. Yeah, Black Widows didn't have that passenger seat back but i think that it's ugly if there isn't it. So it's there and i don't take it off.
  2. After a little break i continued the project. Now interior is almost ready it needs only steering wheel and all little details. Seat decals fit perfectly but door panel decals were very hard ones... First time ever i used Scale Dreams seat belt- material with Model Car Garage's photoetched buckles. Plug wires are now installed to distributor.
  3. I took this out of the box to see how the project proceeds. I checked the chassis and there were very ugly pipes... So i removed them with forceps, hobbyknife (?), dremel and wide bladed graver. The next thing i'm gonna do is patch those holes and put some putty.
  4. Very nice Dart! Only one little mistake, chromed headlights. But that isn't your mistake.
  5. Oh, sorry i meant Badger's spraygun... But thank you all for those nice comments .
  6. AMT's older kit. When i got this, it was allready complete. I took it apart but rear window cracked. I started building from engine. I painted it by red. I didn't have a good size distributor so i made one. At the same time i built interior. There were ugly front seats and backseat...! I putted a pair of bucket seats to the front. I removed door handles and window cranks from door panels. New handles i made from staples. To the chassis i built fuel pump and fuel filter. I painted body with paintbrush and Revell's #30 Orange. There is no clear on it. I made new windows. Then i noticed that i didn't have other taillight so i made it from sheet styrene and i foiled and painted it. baseline looked like this: Completed model:
  7. 1979 Monza and Vega had same front clip and i think, this is Vega. But model is lookin' nice but can you take better pics? These are bit blurry ones . Love H-Bodys!
  8. Very nice! That frame fits perfectly and engine will be very nice too. I like more these blower engines without nitro in Pro Mod. What kind of front wheels you gonna use? This is so interesting project!
  9. I didn't know that '53 Studebaker can be nice taildragger. But this is cool .
  10. This is very interesting project. I love H-Bodys and Monzas/Skyhawks/Starfires are best of H-Bodys. That was a good drag car because it's small and light and with big V8 it's very wild ride like yours.
  11. That frame is going to be very nice. It's much better than mine.
  12. Those valve covers are from Jo-Han's kit.
  13. It's Jo-Han's model kit. Best one i've seen from Jo-Han. Body was allready painted by orange. I gonna paint underneath of the body, hood and rear panel by gloss black. I painted engine by blue and clear. I put some putty to seat's seam and fuel sell wich isn't ready yet. But anyway, here are a few pictures to you. I test fitted the grille:
  14. Nice project, I'll be watching this one. That frame looks very nice, and it's made from styrene tubing . I'm making scratchbuilt frame to my '63 Impala from metal rod. But my project will take forever...
  15. Very nicely done! Good engine details. One minus: I don't like those wheels and tires. But it's nice however.
  16. That's a good start! Chevy 283 is a good choice (not allways Hemi). Love these gassers, keep us posted!
  17. Jo-Han '72 Ford Nascar Torino: Some parts were painted but it was good shape.
  18. That's looking nice! I love classic Chevys and old school cars. This one is so smooth and paintjob is very nice. Engine is nice too is it from Revell's '58 Impala?
  19. Well Lindberg has good kits too for example '64 Dodge 330 (ramchargers, maverick, color me gone). Then '66 Dodge L700 truck and trailer+'40 Ford is quite good. Much parts but they don't fit perfectly... Bad kits are for example '71 Mustang there is rear axle, springs, drivesaft... are molded to chassis. Interior and engine aren't good too... So i don't know what is in your box.
  20. First the Chevy. It's a snap kit from 1979. When i bought the kit it was allready complete. Underneath body was painted silver. First i dissembled it and started to build interior. Then came a little break. After that i primered the body and finished the interior. I painted the body with airbrush and paintwork is best of mine. I used Revell enamel colors first i painted red and after that white to top, above side trim and trunk. There is no wax or polishing. It looked like this when i bought it: Finished model: Interior before gluing to body: And the Ford. It's a horrible kit. I started from interior and chassis. Painted with airbrush and Revell enamel red. I did all final assembly at night before modelshow in Tampere Finland. I'm not happy about result but i can't do better boxstock from this kit... Comments are welcome
  21. Very nice builds! Where those rear tires are from? My hot rod pickup needs some rubber to burn
  22. That's impressive! Love those gassers. That wagon body makes this different.
  23. Nice Willys and awesome paintjob! Much better than mine.
  24. I got idea for rat rod when i was building models with my friend. So body is from Revell's kit. I chopped windshield frame and i lovered grille. I painted body matt black and when the paint was still wet i putted Mig's rust pigment on it. I made a hole to back of the body. I haven't good frame to this, because frame what was in the box i used it to other '29 Ford. I scratchbuilt the frame and painted it by silver and rust pigment. Rear axle is from Revell's kit but front axle is from '56 Ford but i had to narrow it because it was so wide. Tires are first good ones i found and wheels are from Amt '51 Chevy. Brakes are from Revell's kit. Engine is Ford Flathead with speedparts and rust of course . Plug wires are Detail Master's and intake tubes and headers are cotton stick. Water hoses are some electric wire wich i painted by silver. Seats were too low ones so i putted pieces of matchstick under them. Steering wheel is from unknown fifties car and gearstick is a pin with mooneyes logo. Driveshaft is ''a bit'' dangerous place. Driver must be careful. There's no luxury like windshield, shocks, front spring or lights.
  25. Awesome paint job and fantastic build! I like '49 Mercurys. I have one, it's old amt kit with original height top.
