  1. Don't worry about it. Around here, we have plenty of guys with Chevies, GMCs, and Dodges, and of course Fords, that all do the same thing.
  2. I'm not really sure what's available over there either. I tried looking, but their site wouldn't let me search Norway in English, and unfortunately, I don't read/speak Norwegian. I was more thinking perhaps they might have the same product as the Bondo "Professional" over there under a different brand name. Seems that the Bondo site only shows North American markets that it's available in.
  3. I only mentioned 3M due to them being the parent company of Bondo. They bought them out from RPM (the same folks that own Testors) a few years ago.
  4. You might check with the local auto parts stores. I'm not really sure what 3M products are available in Norway, but it wouldn't hurt to check, could save you some money.
  5. That goes for most products, not just models. Big ticket items not so much, but anything that's a small ticket item will have at least a 100% markup.
  6. You know the sad thing, speaking of Mike Judge, is that the smartest show that MTV has had on in the last 3 years was the reboot of Beavis and Butthead!
  7. Actually, the engine should be green. The orange engines were for Passenger car.
  8. Faceted would be ok on a Blue Dot, as they are faceted in 1:1. Tail lights on the other hand, generally are not.
  9. Good way to wipe out the mains, coke up the turbo and the injectors, plus it's WASTED POWER!
  10. No problem. If you have any questions on the '55-'59 Chevrolet trucks, just ask.
  11. I haven't seen them in a while, but HL used to carry a similar product called cabochons that were the same as rhinestones, except they are smooth with a bit of a dome shape. I picked up a couple of bags of them, clear and multicolor in 5mm, but have not seen them in some time. They also came in 3mm and 7mm, IIRC.
  12. Superclean should work just fine. It won't hurt the resin that Modelhaus uses.
  13. Nah, just takes a bunch of Chevy Parts! http://www.modelt.ca/speed-fs.html
  14. Yarg! That's tight squeeze fitting that in to that Mustang!
  15. No, that's a correction of a factory error!
  16. If you're planning to do a Cameo, you'll want the chrome version. The Cameo was pretty much a loaded truck, I've never seen one that didn't have The chrome grille/headlamp trim and chrome bumper options.
  17. There was a short time of crossover between the two, but the Cameo was only made until around mid-'58. They basically used the leftover parts until inventory was used up. Oddly enough, while the '58 Cameo is the rarest of the 4 model years it was produced, it is also the least desirable.
  18. Here's a few pic of the Modelhaus conversions.
  19. Here's the version I have I though it was the one with the working lights, but I was mistaken about that. It is missing a few parts, mainly through me raiding it for other projects.
  20. I have a couple of sets of the non chromed versions also, Blueprinter issues. I'll be picking up these as well, plus that Competition T body, too.
  21. The Chevy engine in that set is one of the nicer version done in 1/25 scale. Plus, there's some interesting diorama fodder in that kit (camshafts and crankshafts).
  22. Nice score. The '57 in that set is the old MPC tool.
  23. The Fleetside beds are separate from the cabs, and are listed under "Parts", but the cab kits should be complete with the balance of the parts that I listed. The '57 Cameo bed would be correct for the '58, there were no Cameo trucks in '59, as the Fleetside took its place. The '55 bed is really only correct for '55-'56. Something I didn't mention, the cab kits are available in both Chrome (headlamp surrounds, grille, hubcaps, hood ornament), and Unchromed. There's about $10 difference.
  24. X2 Modelhaus. I have one of each, plus the long and short Fleetside beds, you will not be disappointed. One word about them, though; they look to be based mainly on the original promos, the fender badges are 3200 series, which is the long bed 1/2 ton. That does make them technically incorrect for the shortbed 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, and 1 ton trucks. I don't know if they would consider making the side badges separate (they're molded to the fenders), where they could do it with the 3100 (short 1/2), 3600 (3/4) and 3800 (1 ton) badges. I'll have to double check, but I believe they also have the V8 hood emblem. If you get the complete conversion kit, you'll get the cab/hood, grille, headlamp trim, grille surround, 4 headlamps,2 turn signal/front marker lamps, hood emblem, 4 hubcaps s(ame as the '57 Cameo, without the trim ring and are correct for '57-'60), and 4 wheel outers. If you opt for the Fleetside bed, they include the bed w/tailgate molded in place, 2 taillights, bed floor, and for the long version, frame extensions. The Fleetside beds really should have included a bumper as well, since on the 1:1, the Fleetside rear bumper is different from the Stepside bumper. In order to do an accurate stock truck, you will need the steering wheel and engine from the '57 kit, and the front axle from either Cameo kit. Otherwise, any of the '55/'57 kits will do for the balance of the parts.
  25. Yes, it does have opening doors. Now that I'm thinking about it, mine might also have a lighting option. I don't have it handy to check at the moment, I'll get it out and check when I get the chance.
