    32 Ford's

I knew I had one somewhere...love seeing all these....great thread!!
  5. Brian, your work area is so neat(not as messy as mine and some)and I really like those lamps. Like your guitars there Hattely
  6. I can relate very well. Great job all around.
  7. Mighty fine stuff !! Mighty fine stuff !!
  8. Thanks John for the info. Looks simple enough but I think I might be too far ahead to add hinges to mine, not unless I go backwards. Theres always another.
  9. Thanks a bunch..but its 1/16th scale.
  10. All your scratch built stuff looks great John. Door hinges ? Need to know how. If you care to share.
  11. Have patience when working with decals. Let sit in water abut 30 seconds, lay on a dry cloth and gently remove decal. I use Solvaset brushed on the area and then afterward apply again. Leave alone..dont prod..poke or anything. The solvaset will shrink decal into curves and over other places. Works for me. Be patient. Have sprayed both laquer and enamel clears over them with no problem. Everthing is a decal except the blue.
  12. Hey Brian...dont know where you've had bad luck in the past with these but this one looks good to me. Like the colors and your theme. One question.....whats that screw in the side of the soaking cup for? Gotta be a method to the madness. Right?
  13. OK John..... Been slow with mine of late. The interior wore me out. As usual, yours is looking great ! Been working on an addition to a Dio for a show, but will be back on the RR real soon. Whats your interior gonna be? Give me some insight on those hinges,if you can. Looks great as usual.
  14. OK Skip...we are on the same page. My kit dash does have a texture to it but really not all that pronounced. I understand the smooth and laquer type finish...I want that and I will have that. One thing about the kit dash area is it does not have the actual dash area (between the windshield and where the gauge panel starts)..just your basic panel with gauges. Anyway..thanks for lookin and I am all ears. Whats up with you?
  15. Dont quiet understand that Skip. Dont use the dash thats in the kit? And cut the door piece out that will be wood and replace with styrene? Was planning on a burl type wood look.
  16. My first 1/16th build. The seats are of kids(goat) leather as are the shock covers. The door panels and floor are brushed leather and wonder cloth. The bead(about 6') on the seats and door panels are phone wire and will probably be dulled out,I think? The bench seat has 15 cut pieces and the fronts about 9. Never intended the build to resemble the Revel kit but my leather on hand sorta dictated that. Same leathers will be used thruout where needed. The top will be some sort of other material. Motor has been wired and BMF will be used thruout. Working on the wood grain for the dash and door panels. This is a whole new ball game but enjoyable. Hope to show more later on.
  17. Pretty cool... for a better perspective and photo, try getting it off the tile floor.
  18. This is what I got going...nice thread.
  19. Pretty darn cool.
  20. Using kids(goat)leather, and wonder fabric, I am doing some detailing on my first 1/16th scale. Opening a whole new can of worms. To achieve the detail I wanted of the seats, the bench seat has 15 cut fitted pieces and the front have about 9 each. I used small telephone wire(about 6') for the beading on the seats and door panels. The shinny look is due to a gloss I used on the bead and might be dulled later on. The door panels are wonder cloth and brushed leather as is the floor. Still working on the wood grain for doors and dash. The shocks are also covered in the same leather. Did not intend for the build to resemble the Revel kit but the leather color I had on hand sorta dictated my choice of body color. Leather will be used in the tool box and other areas and the top will be of some sort of other material. Body color is Model Master Phoenician Yel low with Ultra Gloss Clearcoat. BMF will be used thruout. Motor has been wired. More to come...I think.
  21. Thats alot of work but I am sure the end results will be outstanding. Can not wait for the finished product. Good stuff man.
