A dude named Jimmy Sexton that lived up the street; he gave me a box of old builtup & junkers and a '58 Impala kit sometime in the late '70s. He didn't realize it but he got me into the hobby! Also, Johnny's Toys (r.i.p.) Tim Klein, Paul Schneider, Dick Wessel, Mike Napoleon, Marc Nellis, Art Anderson, most of you guys here and on all of the other boards I belong to... -

I don't have much against Wal-Mart other than them having 1,837 checkout lines but only 2 of them open; or all of the non-minding children running around everywhere. I haven't been in one in a couple of weeks so I have no clue if they have kits in them or not. Luckily, I'm to that point where I have pretty much every kit I've ever wanted with the exception of a few grails (which I seem to have amazing luck finding these days!!). Oh yeah, thanks Chuck! I DIG the Volkswagen!! -
I LOVE the wheels but two of the tires leave something to be desired. two of them are not exactly of the greatest quality but I'll make them work. I think I'm going to start casting my own stuff just for personal use. I'll probably convert them to 4-lug depending on what I use them on. They ARE nice wheels though~! I just need a few really GOOD sets of the tires for some wheels I already have.

Agreed; the tires don't seem to "give" much either. I'm underwhelmed with the whole purchase but I'll do what I can with them.

I agree! I might have to see about getting a set. Those H.D. tires wouldn't be so bad but they're messed up on the same side with is okay for two of them but the other two are gonna need a bit of help.

The tires need work and the wings are too small. I'll work with them though.
