Thanks alot for the kind words fellas.. they are very encouraging and I appreciate them all....
Micheal... its 1/24 scale...
Well I have a few updates.... I made a barrel valve from styrene rod.. I've also started on a little more plumbing, and some of the linkage too... thanks for looking and comments welcome...
Thanks for the comments fellas.. Tim... Jim's website is Micronitro.com.. the msd came with the resin engine kit from Ross Gibson... It did take a bit of clean up...
Alright fellas,,, I've spent the past 2 days working on the blower hat.. I've added the decals and started some of the plumbing... thanks for looking and comments welcome...
I've always been a fan of clean, clear windows, on 1:1 cars and models too... so all the details are easy to see... you did a great job in coloring in the trim on the windows and tinting them... did you use the Sharpie????
Thanks alot Mitch.. I'm glad you like my work... I took the pegasus wheels off when I got these from Micro Nitro... Jim really makes some nice wheels...
As far as the magneto... It's the one that came with the Ross Gibson engine I had to do a lot of clean up to it,,, but I think it turned out o.k...It comes with the cap piece your talking about that goes on top of the wires....
I think thats the transmission your talking about.... It comes in 3 pieces... top.. bottom.. and the rear section.... that attaches to the bell housing...
Mitch... the prosportsman kits are a great way to get your feet wet with building cages... that's the way I got started, before I got up the courage to try a scratch built cage.....
here's a few pics of a little more I got done today.....
What's up fellas.... I've pulled this one back out,,, I got some pulleys from Micro Nitro, that turned out awesome,.. got the mag. and wires installed... thanks for looking and comments welcome....
Happy Fathers Day gents.... I've been making a little progress on this build over the weekend... the interior is almost done... I painted the engine, trans and exhaust with different shades of metalizer paints... the interior is almost done... should get some paint later this week,... thanks for looking and comments welcome.....
Thanks Stan... this one is getting closer.. got the radiator, breather tank, and a few more hoses done.. I also got the master cylinder done, and made a coil from styrene... thanks for looking and comments welcome...
Stan this is an awesome build you got going.. the stance is wicked.. and the engine bay looks great.. as tubbs mentioned earlier.. turn the shifter around, it's backwards... this a great looking build may as well get the details right,,,,
I think Jeff was thinking along the same line I was.. the rod you are using is just a touch too big... It still looks great.. dont get me wrong... I use evergreen #222 for my cages, chassis etc. which is .062 and it works great..... I love what you are doing to this build.... but next time you get a chance try the .062 and I think you'll like it..
