Just the builders personal preference. It's a dark metallic green. Since the metallics in the model paints are too heavy it's best to go with a flat color.

Any particular brand of thinner?

Thanks, I did find the paint at our LHS, its GM for the 1964 its the closest thing I can get without going automotive.

There are no models at our two Wal-marts . O well I did get a green sticker(Wal-mart) on a kit from Bill_rules the other day.

I am looking to match the original blue on my 1966 Chevy truck. The closest color I found was a mm paint, but I cannot remember the number of it. Jiminohio has a color called silver blue metallic, but I want to make sure that's it before I commit to buying it.

Got the bullit primered today. Im working on a 99 Cobra right now as well. Guys you got me back into the mustang fever lol. Ive been snake bit. I have on the workbench 08 Bullit, three 99 Cobras(one has been on a long while because it is getting open doors), Jada Gt500 and Gt500KR and soon will be the older mustang for the other CBP. Btw does anyone know what color the chassis for the 99's are?

Duplicolor, it was the paint to clear mix. The paint I have I will have to get the same brand of clear.

Mr green is what meant. It wasn't the paint, the clear is what done it. I thought I had allowed ample time for the paint to gas out. It should be ready to paint tomorrow evening, that's if I get off work tomorrow.
