  1. I was "out and about" today and the snow is definitely melting as the temps are in the mid 40's. Of course we have plenty of sunshine and blue skies as well, and we're another day closer to spring. Yay!
  2. I'm plannin' on it Bob, and of course I'll always stop by to say hi to the "bowling team,"
  3. That's true Harry as it's gonna take awhile before things look different. I've been in southeastern Wisconsin a couple of times recently, and it looks like we have more snow than they do.
  4. It'll (Ford) make a great custom.
  5. Seems like some teams are in "spring training" all year long. That's why I haven't watched baseball for the last two years, and I think I'll include this year and make it three.
  6. My next door neighbor was kind enough to plow out the entrance and the apron of my driveway tonight, before I got out to shovel/plow. Saved me a lot of work, so I guess I "owe him."
  7. How young do I feel? Ha! After all the snow shoveling/plowing I've done this winter, not too young. I may feel younger havin' some wings at Hooters though. LOL!
  8. Send me a PM with your addy and I'll put them in the mail for you.
  9. No mail delivery today, why not? We're not presidents so we should get our mail. On the bright side, no mail, no bills.
  10. It WILL be 40+ degrees tomorrow Harry, I can guarantee that. Where I don't know, and I wouldn't count on it in my neighborhood tomorrow. That's asking for a lot.
  11. The weather is a LOT like traffic, there's not much one can do about it other than stay home.
  12. And the next S.L.A.M. meeting will be on March 15th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The date for the AMG meeting will be March 7th.
  13. Roy, a lot could happen between now and tomorrow's morning rush hour. I'm hopin' for the better as luck would have it, I have to be in "rush hour" tomorrow morning as well. Usually when I make appointments for the morning, they are 'bout 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. so that I can avoid "rush hour." But not tomorrow and not Friday afternoon either, sometimes it just works out that way. Cheer up, spring IS comin'.
  14. YES, the snow will eventually stop and the temps will eventually get warmer. I guarantee that!
  15. All ya gotta do is ask me Kennyboy. There was a great turnout of members yesterday as well.
  16. I knew it Harry, I just knew it!
  17. I've heard of many people buyin' classic cars, sight unseen and a good friend of mine did as well. That's something I would NEVER do myself.
  18. Is anyone else plannin' on going to the swap meet in Wheaton next Sunday at the Du Page Fairgrounds?
  19. I like when I "test drive" the new vehicle and "stomp" on the pedal pulling out of the dealership. The salesperson just knows that I'm gonna get on it.
  20. Another great time at the S.L.A.M. meeting this morning/afternoon. Great friends, models, models/parts for sale, oh and did I mention FOOD as well?
  21. Anyone here vent their paint fumes in a bucket instead of a vent outside? Any pictures of how this is done? TIA
  22. We've got too much snow to melt quickly Harry. It's gonna take awhile, and a bit more comin' tomorrow.
  23. There are "weather problems" all over the world, and one either has to live with them or move. If you move, you may just be trading one problem for another.
  24. About 60% of my unbuilt kits are still factory sealed, as it makes it easier to trade, sell, or donate them latter on. I seldom steal parts form one kit or another , but I believe I'll be doing more of this in the near future. I have bought kits for parts, which means that I'll never build the kit, but just use parts in it for other builds.
  25. 50's??? I wouldn't count on it for awhile, and don't put your snow-blower away yet either.
