  1. Are you sure she meant model car, or the two legged kind???
  2. Try the "spoon test" only with wooden spoons.
  3. Move to "Chicagoland" Virgil and you'll soon find out what to do with it.
  4. Yes, it was the '69 Charger kit that had the vinyl roof molded on.
  5. I have let just about all my subscriptions to hot rod mags lapse as they get lamer by the month. And now they even throw in modern muscle cars as well, which I'm not interested in at all. l have a collection of Hot Rod & Super Stock magazines from the 60's and occasionally I'll find a couple of mags from that era that I don't have and will pick them up. I'm gonna read these old mags until the pages wear out, as this is the stuff I want to read. In my opinion, the mags on the shelves today, except for Elapsed Times is not worth MY money, not even at a $1 and issue.
  6. Roy, How old is your car battery? My car's been sittin' outside for the past two days and it started right up. I usually replace the battery every 5-6 years whether it needs it or not. I don't need battery problems.
  7. Be nice to your wives, as three of my friends have become widowers in the last month. After so many years, that could be quite an adjustment to make.
  8. I was outside for 5 minutes today and that was long enough. I had to retrieve the garbage/recycle bins, the morning newspaper, and the mail. Gonna stay inside tomorrow too and hopefully finish my painting.
  9. Wow, that is lookin' REALLY good Ron. Excellent work.
  10. Temps that dipped below 45 degrees? Oh NO!!!
  11. WOW! That is just awesome!!! I've done train sets about three times in my lifetime and just bought a LIONEL set for my new grandson to go around the Christmas tree. My house is too small to have another train layout, but maybe above the doorways in my hobby room??? Thanks for posting.
  12. School buses??? Back in the 50's & 60's I had to hike to school and back home as well. It didn't matter what the weather was.
  13. I hope it stops snowing for a couple of days as I'll be slingin' a paint brush and a roller, as long as it's bitter cold outside and I'm stayin in.
  14. Another day, and I was slingin' da shovel and chasin' da Toro around again. We'll it IS gettin' closer to spring, so I shouldn't complain.
  15. Lookin' good Richard as I used to own a couple of Caddy's myself back in the 70's. I do have the JoHan '68 Caddy convert in my "stash," but who knows when I'll get to building it.
  16. I don't believe that Craig, as that's just not cool. I've be to shopping at many stores looking to buy a cap with the brim in the back, but they must be out of stock, as nobody sells them. Darn!
  17. How 'bout box full of "motivation" so that I can build the kits that I've already got?
  18. Looks like another "beautiful day in da neighborhood" this morning, as I'll be gettin' dressed to swing that snow shovel and chase the Toro down the driveway. Wind chill is supposed to be pretty cold as well. Oh well, we're another day CLOSER to spring.
  19. The VERY ugly side of the "S" word and gruesome as well. I can't imagine being in a wreck of that magnitude.
  20. Great lookin' job on that funny car as it looks ready to ROCK!
  21. Some really nice lookin' Cobras there.
  22. I recently heard that it will be released real soon.
  23. Welcome Gary as this is a great place to be, and yes Thank You for your service to our country.
  24. Me too Roy, as It's hard to imagine being in that wreck. Drivers and passengers hurt, stuck in their vehicles, bitter cold outside, they may be hungry, or need to use the facilities, the worries, their transportation wrecked, the need to call their families, to call their insurance companies, and the list goes on. My prayers will go out to them as well. It was a tragic and sad day on the highway today.
