  1. Great job on the roof details Junior as I used to install that stuff before I retired.
  2. Guys, it can't be all that bad as he lived to write about it.
  3. If all four tires aren't touching the tabletop, I usually "tweak it" with a gentle tap using a hammer.
  4. I'm with you Mark, as I do the same thing. I keep the receipts until the bills clear and then shred them. I too look for overcharges or charges that I did not make. It works for me.
  5. You can sue anybody you want for anything you want, but remember ONE thing: there's a BIG difference between suing and collecting.
  6. I know you Kerry, and you're not sorry at all!
  7. My, my, my, seems like a lot of impatient people here in a hurry to go nowhere. Yep, I just gotta love 2014. Yesterday a person somehow dropped a cell-phone in the icy Chicago River and went after it along with two other people. One made it out alive and the others, well.................... I really didn't know cell/iPhones were so valuable. I would throw mine in the river before dropping it as I can live very easily without it.
  8. Please keep that "white stuff" by you Kerry, and thanks!
  9. That's nice, but my checkbook is empty and there's no more room in the garage either. LOL!
  10. There's a good reason for "cash only" business, especially smaller businesses that don't want to account for every hot dog and bun that they buy, waste, or give away. Or coffee, sandwiches, etc. Kinda hard to operate a small business when you have to account for every penny spent or received. More time is spent on paperwork than the business itself. I worked for one company that told me that they keep track of my time (hours) five different ways. I then asked them why my paycheck was screwed up???
  11. Nice job on those flames.
  12. Get your shovel waxed and ready Harry as MORE snow is comin' this week. Enjoy it while you can.
  13. My wife and I had a Chrysler 200 as a rental car for a week when we were in S. Carolina in 2012, and we didn't care much for the car at all.
  14. Nice job done on that "Poncho."
  15. The needs for a mom & pop hobby shop has changed quite a bit since the 50's & 60's.
  16. Not every wants or uses a debit card Harry, and I'm one of them. Of course I don't write checks at the grocery store anymore either.
  17. Great photos and some nice builds there Gerry, thanks!
  18. I had one salesperson at a Chevy dealership last year, more interested in getting my address and phone number, than selling me a car, and I was ready to buy. I walked out and bought a car next door at another dealership that same day.
  19. Looks like you won't be buying a car anytime soon Tom as "everyone's a crook" in your book. So I wonder why millions of cars are sold each year?
  20. No, I'm suffering from LOM or "lack of motivation" to build right now. I'm still enjoyin' this forum as well as others, still goin' to model car club meetings, reading model car and 1:1 car mags, and still tryin' to "thin out the herd" some as well.
  21. Very nice job on that "Vette. Maybe someday I'll get to build the one in my "stash?"
  22. Some people think that they should be the ones who decides who is disabled and who is not. I tell them that it's up to the doctor and the Secretary of State. I've seen disabled people driving Corvettes and cycles and good for them. It's not up to other people to decide what handicapped people should drive either.
  23. IMHO, I don't think that Corvettes, Vipers, Shelby Mustangs, and Camaros are priced high enough to fall into the exotic category.
  24. Sounds like fun Kerry, but I've got three things going already for the 18th and I won't be able to do all of those. Maybe next time?
