  1. Thanks guys!
  2. Derrick, where did you get the injector manifold? Thanks!
  3. That's a good lookin' Mopar there Carl. Nice job!
  4. Models, thanks.
  5. Is there a Mopar forum out there? I would appreciate any info, thanks.
  6. I needed the hardtop body for a future project so I picked one up fro Missing Link a few years ago and it's still sittin' on the pile with a lot of other future builds. LOL! I also have the above mentioned kit to use as a donor.
  7. I also like Kris's dizzys and mags as I used to use Preston's exclusively, but not any more.
  8. Moon tanks come in a lot of kits. They are usually chrome plated, which is wrong as Moon tanks are made from spun aluminum. If you spray the crhome plated Moon tanks with Testors Dull-Cote, they will look pretty good. Off hand, I don't recall any aftermarket Moon tanks being offered, but I could be wrong.
  9. Then maybe a "clean room" is needed to display my models? And when guys come over to check them out they should get scrubbed up and in gowns, booties, and caps as well. Good idea.
  10. If you use your charge card, you can get "airline miles" or you can just use ca$h.
  11. Lots of rain here bt my sump pump is working just fine. The better half had to take a couple of detours on the way home from work though, and the daughter had to take a detour on the way to D.C.
  12. Nice build on that Willys Derrick, real nice. I take crappy model pics also, but when I shoot 1:1 cars they come out real good.
  13. My dad was not a "car person" at all, but he did however teach me how to drive 50 years ago. Dad also helped in the wheeling & dealing of my first three car purchases. I took up car model building, and drag racing on my own. I still love 1 : 1 cars, nostalgia drag races, and car shows and cruise nights. I belong to three model car clubs and have a ton of kits to build if I ever get OFF this keyboard.
  14. You said it and that IS something that I really should do. Thanks!
  15. I like that idea and I'll have to try it, thanks.
  16. Revell had a small display with some test shots and boxes of their upcoming releases at the Milwaukee NNL last Saturday. They had the box for the '57 Ford Police Car and it looked pretty good.
  17. Your new avitar looks good Harry, when did you shave? LOL!
  18. I believe Modelhaus carries them.
  19. Whatever you do, DO NOT sell all your kits, tools, parts, supplies, etc.. Just put them in a box in a corner and they'll be there when you're ready to start up again. Ask me how I know this.
  20. I keep my built models in a display case and I'm not worried about airborne particles, dirt, grease, etc.. I have models built in the early 70's and early 80's and there's nothing wrong with them, and I didn't clearcoat over the decals either. Besides, I didn't build my models to last 100 years as I'll be long gone.
  21. Exposed to the elements? Do you keep them outside and display them on the deck rails?
  22. I keep my bottled paints in a drawer that is real eay to get to as it contains my tools as well. The spray cans I keep in two paper boxes that used to hold computer paper. They are dust free and out of site.
  23. You should have seen it Harry as Rod did "wow the crowd" with that build as well as a few others.
  24. Sorry to hear the bad news Brian, and I hope that you get back on your feet soon.
