  1. At our club meeting last night a member brought in a "test shot" of Galaxie's Chevy Coupe. The Sedan and Sedan Delivery have been out for quite awhile and just maybe the Coupe will be on the shelves this fall, we'll see?
  2. We missed you at the meeting last night Kerry and I hope that Lily is doing well, as I'm still prayin' for her.
  3. You did a great job on that Poncho, but it had a "louvered" hood and it's available from Replicas and Miniatures.
  4. That rod looks sweet Lyle, real sweet!
  5. Lookin' good Carl, lookin' good.
  6. I know that I could do better in "time management" and build more models but I don't. I won't build for other people as I have PLENTY that I want to build for me. Some guys build for others as gifts or for money, and if that works for them that's okay. It doesn't work for me.
  7. I'm very sorry to hear the sad news Kevin, and my condolences to you and your family.
  8. That is a beautiful Galaxie and excellent color choice. Well done!
  9. Really nice job on that Cable Car Harry as it's been a long time since I've been on one.
  10. I had one of those kits when I was about that age also and don't remember if I ever finished it. I recently picked up the 1/32 Chrysler New Yorker Customizing Kit for a buck and still factory sealed. It's gonna stay that way as I bought it for nostalgia's sake and it looks good in my "stash."
  11. Go back to post #5 Rob and I use a # 12 guitar string for my antennas and also to "pin" parts such as side view mirrors. I believe I only paid about a dollar for the string, no more than $1.50 and there's plenty so only buy one.
  12. That is one sweet lookin' rod Bernard, great job!
  13. Yes, and thank you to all.
  14. Yes, and yes. You can send out your resin pieces to the platers and although I've not used Alclad, I have used Spaz-Stix on a resin bumper with good results.
  15. That's all 67? You've got to put your "foot into it."
  16. Good start and every model you build is only practice for the next one.
  17. Read the above posts Kyle as the AMG club meets THIS Friday in Oak Creek.
  18. If you use insect mounting pins, what do you do with the insect? Here's a photo of a Duster with a guitar string antenna. http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/itsagas1320/Model%20Cars/DSC02725.jpg
  19. I just picked up some of that Bondo last week and I'll have to give it a try.
  20. Nice build on that Tri-Five Chevy and yes there is a lot of foiling on that car as I'm currently working on the MPC flip-nosed Chevy.
  21. Welcome Mark and that is a great kit as I"ve built three of them already and have another one started. I sent the front end and oil pan to the platers to have them chromed and it looks really good on that model. Nice color choice on your build.
  22. Welcome Tony and there is the AMG (Auto Modelers Group) of Wisconsin that meets on the first Friday of the month in Oak Creek. from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
  23. Pro Street Thunderbolt? From what I heard, those Thunderbolts were lucky to be able to go in a straight line, yet alone around turns.
  24. I use #12 guitar string with an O scale 1/2" nut w/4" cast iron washer from Grandt Line model railroad products for a base.
