  1. That Charger would make a nice build with the decals of course. I did see that Charger on display at the Chrysler Museum back in 2002, but the Color Me Gone Dodge got a lot of my attention.
  2. Stunning work on that Outlaw and it would look a lot better on my shelf. Maybe one day I'll break out a Roth kit and build it?
  3. I guess that I'm "good to go" as far as new or reissued kits are concerned, because as long as I have a huge stack of unbuilt kits to build, I really don't care what kits come out or which kits don't come out. There are some guys with 500 unbuilt kits concerned about the latest releases? Give me a break!
  4. While Fred Cady's decals weren't the greatest, his decals did serve a purpose and helped many a modeler build many different cars with his decals. He's been retired for awhile now, so 2013 doesn't count in this case.
  5. WHO said that you can't gawk at the two legged models? I think that you read me wrong Kerry. Yes Gus's is always a good place to go, it's just too bad that it's an 88 mile round trip for me. Otherwise I'd be there a LOTmore.
  6. A can from Eastwood will probably paint as many as 300 (?) model carburators.
  7. I've seen it built up by a good modeler and it looks pretty good. I have one myself in my "stash" as well.
  8. If it's a '40 Willys, it would have a split grille. If it's a '41 Willys there would be no divider in the middle of the opening.
  9. Well as you already know that Bill Lastovich isn't with us anymore, but I had heard that Ed Sexton will probably be at the show with the Revell display.
  10. You can get silver cord at Hobby Lobby as well as a small eye bolt that I put into the differential cover.
  11. It is the Premeir as I have the convertible in a lavender color. And yes it is a beauty.
  12. No reason to go? There'll be plenty of cool cars and high octane burnin' along with rockin' roll playin' as well. I hopin to get up there a couple of times myself.
  13. Looks good as I had a Super-Bee back-in-the-day and no Dodge didn't offer that color.
  14. Would that be Decals by Lucas?
  15. Jimmy should be selling his products at the Waukesha Expo Center on the 14th of this month, the day after the Milwaukee NNL. Look for him there.
  16. I heard at the AMG meeting last night that Revell will have a small display of their upcoming products at the Milwaukee NNL, just as they've done in the past few years.
  17. Just a reminder that the Milwaukee NNL is only ONE week from today and I'm hopin' to see some of you members there. C'mon down and have a great day!
  18. Sure, Competition Resin does and good ones also.
  19. Back then gas was cheap enough and nobody gave a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH about aerodynamics or wind tunnels, or gas milage. They did care "big time" about stylling to bring customers into their showroom and also sending them out in a new car. Now people "have to" have a car to get around in to go to work, shopping, etc., especially when both parents are working. Today people buy cars no matter what they look like as people want the cheapest car that can offer the best gas milage. And if you would stand on a busy intersection for about ten minutes, you will see that today's transportation looks disgusting.
  20. Have you tried Model Masters Jet Exhaust? Try it as it looks good on carbs as well as other underhood and chassis parts.
  21. I just finished a car molded in a green plastic. I sprayed the body silver, then primer, then color coats and clear. Works good.
  22. While I have more plastic than motivation, it really doesn't matter what Revell or any other manufacturer comes out with any more. At least, to me.
  23. Bill, you ARE a true craftsman as I've met you in person at the Toledo NNL and have seen your amazing work. Your tutorial is WAY out of my "comfort zone" however I do appreciate the work that goes into your models as well as some of the other great builders on this forum. When I look at your builds, I have to stand back a bit so I don't drool on them. LOL!
  24. Anybody from the Kenosha area? I just got word that there will be cruise nights held at the Tilted Kilt Restaurant this summer. A great opportunity to get reference photos for model building. No ,not two legged models.
