  1. While a number of car guys I talk to don't care too much for the first generation Chargers, I certainly do and had a friend back in the 60's that had one as well. I did the model your working on when it was first released and finished it back in the early 80's and still have it. I wouldn't mind doing another one, however I already have LOTS to build. Very nice job on your build John as I just love dem B-body Mopars!
  2. I use a pot with warm water in it, put the can in it and cover it in case of an explosion, which has never happened to me. I set a timer for about 6 minutes and then remove the can, dry it, shake it, and spray. If I need another coat or two I repeat the process with 20 minute intervals. Other guys may do this differently but this is how I do it and it seems to work. Remember it is warm water and not extremely hot water. 3. Both the rear view and side view mirrors were plentiful with the late 50's and early 60's AMT kits. Try and find a model builder who has a stash of these and willing to share, or check out swap meets.
  4. I've been decanting paint from spray cans for many years simply by warming up the can in warm water, shaking it and spraying on model car bodies and parts. This method works great for me, as I get really nice finishes with metallics, candies, solids, clears, etc. Even works great when painting two and three tone paint jobs as well. No mess, no fuss, no adjustments, no water traps, no noisy compressor, no air pressure or needle problems, etc.
  5. Yes Competition Resins has great products and service.
  6. Great lookin' build on that dragster as I just love dem FED's. I remember them well and even have some 8MM movies of those rails smokin' their slicks down the whole 1/4 mile back in the mid 60's.
