Mr Sauber, that's an awesome looking Pro-mod. are the wheels from MAS? the chassis now has four wheels. you may notice that there is a nut missing from the right front wheel, i lost one. i will have to get another set, but i have a project that only needs nuts for the rear wheels. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki still got the steering and shocks to do, before i turn my attentions to the body. steve

a bit more progress. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki thanks for tuning in. steve

heres the start of the front suspension. the wire is to hold the springs in place while the glue sets for the axle. small bolts will hold the springs in place. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki thanks for looking. steve

thanks guys. have to admit i haven't been to a show or a rod run in years, but i will this year. as promised raul, here are some bigger pics. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki motivation comes from a pontiac catalina engine and to do something a little different. thanks for tuning in. steve

thanks for the kind comments guys. i will see if i can get the pics a bit bigger. steve

thanks guys. i'm currently working on scratchbuilding the front springs. the bolts i used were from hiroboy (www.hiroboy.com) and i know the ones from scale hardware also have threaded bolts and unthreaded. thanks for including the links mountaindewd. steve

hello. ok,this is the revell model T, the one with the trailer. it was going to be a fad T with a tall roof and earlier grill, but the screen frame broke and decided to do something different. i blended the pick-up bed with the body and scratchbuilt new screen posts, the screen just fits in without the use of any glue. a new floor pan was made to cover the interior bucket. the engine is from a pontiac catalina with various turned ally parts, including the rear wheel rims (centres are r & d unique), front discs and dif cover. front wheels are from machine aluminium specialties via scale dreams, pulleys are parts by parks, bolts from r b motion but i'm not sure where the rear shocks are from. paint is candy cherry over pear yellow metallic. thanks for tuning in. steve

thanks guys. it's a pity i can't recall who made the valve covers as i would get some more. steve
-
thanks guys. the engine is now in place, and i have added an oil dipstick and the starter motor. you can just see that i secured the engine with a couple of bolts that go through the mounts and in to the mounts on the chassis. thanks for tuning in. :D steve

ok, i managed to do some more building despite my ailment. these pics show the installation of the valves and wheel nuts along with the axle finally mounted. the wheel nuts along with the nuts holding the axle in place are made from steel, and easy to get at when dropped, as i have a magnetic swarf grabber. the tyre valves however, are aluminium, and if they get lost, well................ thanks for tuning in. steve

thanks alyn. i have done a bit of work on the rear suspension, and i'm waiting for some detail parts to turn up. however, i have to take it a little easy as my arm has hurting a bit. steve
-
thank you. i have another 3 window and i will chop that one. come to think of it, i have so many 32 ford's i don't know where to start. :D steve
-
thanks guys. it was suggested that i did this with a jimmy flintstone chopped body, but i may do that for next time. yes i am tempted to do another one. steve

thanks guys. rick, i used shortened front struts from a tamyia ford sierra, with a cut down spring from a pen each side. once i had the inner wheel wells done, i finished off the chassis for the front end using the same diameter rod as i used for the roll cage. the A arms were scratchbuilt from smaller diameter rods, plastic sheet with scratchbuilt brackets. bolts from r b motion were used for detail together with a used electric guitar string. steering rod was from a 55 chevy truck and the box from a thames panel. thanks for looking in. steve

thanks guys. it was almost candy blue, but the orange was a better choice for it. i will post some more in progress pics soon. thanks for tuning in. steve

thanks guys. this won a best street rod award at a show here in the UK back in 97, and when i built it i wanted to do something a little different with a hot rod. it was going to have a 3" chop but decided against it, opening the doors was good enough. steve

thanks for the kind comments guys. the brakes have now been drilled for the wheel nuts, and this how the wheels will fit. the kit wheels are positive offset and would sit under the fenders, however, these are negative offset, and will extend outward in true gasser style. the metalflake will show better when i have painted the body as the chassis and axle don't have enough surface, but yes it can just be seen. thanks for tuning in. steve

hello. here's a model i built in '97. it's based on our old friend the revell 32 ford 3 window. i opened up the doors and boot lid and hinged them on scratchbuilt hinges. the paint is auto colour flat black with hand painted lettering. there are over thirty turned ally parts, not including the aftermarket exhaust tips and blower pulleys. the valve cover are pewter and the blower is from the parts bin. the engine is from a revell pro-mod. thanks for tuning in. steve

i have modified the drum brakes from the amt 53 studebaker, and a piece was added to ensure a better fit for the wheels. the axle and chassis was painted in the pearl metalflake purple, but it is a little difficult to catch the metalflake in the pics. this is how the engine looks in the painted chassis. thanks for tuning in. steve

thanks tumbler, i'm determined to do what i can. here are some more pics. thanks for tuning in. steve

hello everyone. well i managed to do some building despite my arm cast, and i have found the drums for the rear end, they are form the AMT 53 stude. i made some progress on the engine and it is now wired with a bit more plumbing. i used a magneto from pro-tech and wire looms from a ross gibson engine. the fuel pump is from the old AMT "Mr Speed" 53 stude. the braided hose and A/N fittings are Detail Master. there is still more to do on the engine, but i'm getting there. thanks for looking. steve

cheers guys. aren't those wheels great? they do fit the revell tyres, and even though i can use the ones from the model king version, i would have a struggle getting the rear wheels in the tyres as they are solid, plus they are a bit too shiny. i will prevail. steve
-
looking really good raul. i like treatment on the bonnet, are you going to hinge it? good job on those headlights, as the moulded ones were way too low. i had to think for a while on the removal of the running boards on my model, especially with the doors being opened up. if not removal, maybe reshape them? steve

i have some general parts on their way, magneto and wire looms, that sort of thing. however, i'm trying to remember where the headers came from on my 80's model. i got my wheels through from micro nitro. just trying out some tyres that will fit, even though i have never been a fan of revell's two piece tyres. thanks for looking. steve

the same goes for this one well. a bad camino that looks killer. i can imagine this sitting in a field or in a barn somewhere. great stuff. steve
