  1. Hey Badgass, great to see this awesome Camaro back on track. The paint looks superb. Can you imagine your Camaro and mine side by side on the strip? Steve
  2. Thanks Rob. I'm using a hemi motor that was a 426, but would be re-bored to 427. Steve
  3. Cheers guys. The paint is now done, all sparkly and shinny. Started on the front and rear suspensions and started on the interior. More to come. Steve
  4. The pieces have now been polished, and as you can guess, my mate was very pleased with them. Thanks for looking. Steve
  5. This is what I have been working on for a friend. The fairing and tank have been airbrushed with the skulls (re: tank) as my big pro mod camaro. The colour is Rover pearl blue base, with crystal blue pearl flake on top. The fenders and side boxes are the same colour, but no graphics, as the fairing and tank are the main focal points. I will try and get pics when he as completed the bike, which is the 1/6th scale Kawasaki by Tamiya. This is before polishing.
  6. Cheers guys. ...........this is where I am with the build. Just needs the paint to be polished, then I can get on with the rest.
  7. Very impressive work my friend. Look forward to seeing this in all its glory when finished.
  8. Hello Dave, I live in Ham, near Richmond, Surrey. It's been a while since I last worked on this, but I wanted to get my big Camaro done. I have made hinges for the doors, and given the body a coat of primer to show the rough spots. The chassis will be black, with front and rear leaf springs from the little red wagon and dodge ramchargers kits. Steve
  9. Awesome build there mate. the headers look great, and love the induction system. Top stuff. Steve
  10. Thank you all for the kind comments, really appreciate them. This has given me the chance to do things, such as moulding and casting on various parts. It also gave me the confidence to do the airbrushing and I already have some more projects in line, for the same treatment. Steve
  11. Cheers guys. Here are some outdoor pics. Steve
  12. The "Soul Reaper" Pro Mod Camaro is now complete. This has been the most involved project I have ever done, and the first project that had such a lot of scratch building. It also gave me a chance to do some moulding, casting and airbrushing graphics. I have really enjoyed doing this, and really pleased in the outcome. Hope you enjoyed this as much as me.
  13. As a footnote, the front from the MPC kit, broke, but I used the clear sheet as the rear window. I chose not to install the door windows, as they would not be able to open the doors. Hope you enjoyed this as much as me. steve More pics in the finished section.
  14. Got the clear coat on, and just waiting for it to cure before I polish it. Started to get the windows sorted along with the rear lights. The rear and side windows, are cut from clear sheet, the front is from an MPC 1/16 Firebird. The rear lights are two sets of custom lights from a 1/25 AMT 57 Ford. Steve
  15. Thanks guys. Chris, I used both stencils and free hand. The sides where copied and scaled down from a large stencil. Darren, I look forward to seeing the Willys done. If you are going to Wheels Day, you will see the camaro there. I am in the middle of clear coating, I will post pics soon.
  16. Cheers. Got the airbrushing done along with the sponsorship decals, grill and headlights. Just waiting some clear to arrive. Quite happy on how the airbrush work has turned out, and it was how I wanted it. Thought about adding lettering, but I will make a plaque for that. The official name for this is "Soul Reaper" Steve
  17. Thanks guys. The pads on the seat were cut and shaped from the foam found inside of one of my airbrush boxes. Here is the next stage of the paint. Crystal red from Specialist Paints was applied and two coats of clear to seal it, ready for the airbrushing. Also got the case delivered, and let me tell you, it was a close thing, with 2mm clearance at each end. Steve
  18. Here are a few updates..........scratch built chassis (front), engine mounts. front leaf springs from the little red wagon kit. stay tuned for more. steve
  19. Paint is finally being laid on. I have started with a black base, with a pearl red colour coat. This will be followed by a crystal red, which is a colour changing pearl metalflake. Just waiting for a suitable size case to this in. Thanks for looking. Steve
  20. Saw that camaro in the latest edition of Custom Car, when it features a report on the NitrOlympicX event in Germany. Unfortunately due to grip issues of the track, it went nose first in to the barrier, but not serious thankfully. Well I have chosen a colour scheme, and................... you will see it when the main colour goes on. Got the wheel tubs done, and I was going to put carbon transfers on them, but chose the flat black instead. Also started to prep the body and inserted 4mm magnets to make sure the doors stay closed. Had to fix a problem with the right hand side headers. All the constant handling, loosened the exhaust. stay tuned steve
  21. This is where I am at now. Just waiting for some 1mm threaded rod and nuts so I can bolt on the rear wheels and 4mm magnets to keep the doors closed. There is a little more body work to do, ie improving the gaps between panels, building up and shaping around the exhausts, interior door panels. I am undecided on putting a bulge in front of and around the engine opening, that follows the lines of the front end. Still trying to work out a colour scheme for this. Still, nearly there. Steve
