  9. The main body is steel ........ we had to replace all the sheet metal under the belt line as the body had been acid dipped to reduce weight (back in its drag racing days) ....... also had to fabricate a roof insert from sheet steel ......... the nose is a Fiberglas Trends tilt unit and the rear doors are the factory aluminum Yes, we have an HHR LS ....... really cute little car ........ we got it when gasoline got above $4.00 a gallon ........ really do like it

  13. our 1948 English Ford Thames has been completed .......... what a kick to drive
  14. Thanks for the nice comment. Here's what I did to alleviate some of the body/chassis issues on this kit. The sprue for the kit parts has a flat side. I measured and cut pieces of sprue to glue into the center of the body covering the seam (across the seam) between the two body halves. Make sure to leave enough room toward the edges for the chassis to be glued in place. The sprue "braces" not only add strength to the joint but they help hold the body flat along the bottom. That helps to make the chassis fit like a glove.
  15. ... here's the completed 427 SOHC fuel dragster ........ AMT Tommy Ivo kit ........ cammer engine from the Model King Comet kit ........ blower from a Polar Lights funny car kit ......... injector from a Revell funny car kit ....... wiring, boots, and hardware from Pro Tech, Cobracolors Sunset Orange Metallic paint, and Polar Lights decals
  16. ... I'm sure it has been done, but I don't recall seeing one ....... going to build a late '60's front engine dragster from the Tommy Ivo kit ........ however, I'm going to use a 427 SOHC Ford engine ....... there were a bunch of these things around ........ Prudhomme, Robinson, Kalitta just to name a few
