  1. Cutting It Up! I used a Cut-Off Wheel in the Dremel Tool to cut the fenders off the ZZZZZ-28 Body. I think I will cut the Front and Rear Fenders apart, so that I can attach them to the McLapper Body separately. More Coming...
  2. Saving Old Bodies! Instead of cutting up 2 Vintage Kits, I am going to use 2 Used DW Bodies I picked up. I found this Drivers Head in the parts box, but I'm still looking for a better Head... I used Scotch Tape to remove the old Decals and then I sanded the Body down a little. I marked 2 lines along the edge of the Fenders for Fender Cutting Lines. The plan is to cut these Fenders off and fit them to the McLapper Body. More Coming...
  3. 3 ENGINES! I am going to use the Big HEMI Engine Block from the Vette Zinger Kit and then I am going to use the Double Superchargers from the Pop Corn Wagon on top of the HEMI. 2 Big Jet engines from a 12" X-Wing Fighter are going to back up the Supercharged HEMI. More Coming...
  4. McSCAREN!!! McSCAREN will be a Futuristic GTP/DW CAR-Toon Racer with 3 Engines! Planning to use Body Parts from the Deals Wheels "McLapper" and the ZZZZZZZ-28 to make a Scary All-Out Racing Body. I'm building this Futuristic Fun Racer for the CAR-Toons Contest. Should Be FUN! More Coming...
  5. STRIPS! I glued down the second Strip to form a ring. I needed to add some thickness to the Ring so I glued 2 Strips, that are half as thick as the first 2, over the first 2 Strips. That was the thickness I needed for a good fit. Next I glued the Top on to the bottom of the Disc. With these modifications and the UFO Saucer Sections in place, the Interior Height of the Saucer is now an inch Taller. The UFO Sections are not glued in yet. More Coming...
  6. More Headroom! I decided to make the Saucer about 1/4 inch Thicker. The plan is to glue 1/4 inch Plastic Strips between the top and the bottom of the Saucer. I wrapped the Plastic Strips around small paint bottles to make them curve. Much easier to glue this way. I'm using Zap-A-Gap Glue and only gluing part of the Strip at a time, to the bottom of the Saucer. More Coming...
  7. The Last Detail! I made a Template for the Windshield from file card. When I got the Template to fit I traced the shape on to Clear Plastic. Then I glued it in place. I replaced the stock Headlights and Lenses with larger Clear Plastic Lenses painted Silver. The new Headlights are sunken in nicely. Well, MOON Beast is pretty much Finished, so I'll be posting photos of the Finished MOON Beast later this week...
  8. Even More MOON Decals! Found more MOON Decals! Soon after the Decals dried it started raining, the first storm in a series of 4 or 5, and the first we have had in a while. So I took the Body out to the shop and sprayed some Glosscote over the Body and put it in the Dehydrator, before the humidity got to high from the rain. Fortunately the Glosscote worked Great! Side View... Almost Finished...
  9. More MOON Decals! I added the Big MOON Decal on the front with a "GO! MOON" below it. I also added some small Detail & Sponsor Decals to the Engine & Chassis. I brushed Testors Dullcote over the MOON Decals so that they blend in with the Flat Black. I also added some little Decals to the Driver and will probably add more later. More Coming...
  10. We Have A Driver! The Driver is a Tamiya Rally Driver, except his head, it was from the parts box. I painted him with Tamiya Camel Yellow and then applied a Black Wash. Side View. I also added a couple of Fire Extinguishers and painted them Red & Silver. More Coming...
  11. MOON Decals! I started applying the MOON Decals! I got these Slixx Decals from Ebay and I was a little worried they might be old but they worked Very Well. Rear View. More MOON Decals still to go. More Coming...
  12. Two Tone! I decided to do the Windows Section in Black. I am going to hand paint the area with Flat Black Vallejo Paint. I started by laying a strip of stripping Tape along the Window Line. This gives me a straight line between the colors. Next I hand painted the area, leaving the Stripping Tape in place. Rear View. More Coming...
  13. Looks like many of mine are missing too! Starting from the 25th of November...
  14. Paint It Black! I painted the inside of the Body with Flat Black, Water Base Acrylic, from Vallejo Paint. Any Acrylic mistakes can be wiped off the Yellow Paint with a wet Q-tip. Top View. More Coming...
