  1. Looks Great John! Real Nice Detailing...
  2. Bubble Ring! I used some Quarter Round Plastic Strip to make molding around the Bubble Top. First I marked the shape of the Bubble Top. Then I wrapped the Plastic Strip around a small bottle a few times until the Strip held the Round Shape. Then I glued it about an inch at a time, along the line, using Zap-A-Gap Glue. Here it is in place. Later I sanded top of the Quarter Round Strip down flat. More Coming...
  3. Prime Time! Here are a few photos of McScaren after a couple coats of DupliColor Gray Filler/Primer. Rear View. Side View. More Coming...
  4. Martian Bubble! I am making the Bubble Top from a half of a Clear Plastic Christmas Ornament. I taped off a half inch section that I want to mark for cutting. Then I drew a line along the edge of the tape. This will be the guide line for cutting. Here it is after I cut the section off with a cut-off wheel in a Dremel Tool. More Coming...

  6. Holes & Gaps! I cut 2 pieces of plastic to fill in the Nose Sides. Then I shaped them with a Drum Sander Bit in the Dremel Tool and Sanding Sticks. Then I fit 2 Moon Shaped plastic pieces in the holes on the rear fenders and glued them in place. Applied some Putty. Then I sanded it down with 220 sandpaper. More Coming...

  8. Side Panels! I am going to build up the Side Panel with pieces of sheet plastic. This is the first piece, a triangular shape that fits between the Front & Rear Flairs. Here is the second piece, the lower panel. The third piece fits between the edge of the Front Flair to the bottom edge of the Side. More Coming...
  9. Martians! I cut a Spray Can Lid down to fit inside the Saucer to form the Interior. Next I glued a plastic strip around the top of the Lid. This will make it easier to glue the Lid to the Saucer. Martians! Testing the Interior to see how many Martians fit. Looks like a few, we just might have more visitors later... More Coming...

  11. We Need More Vents! I trimmed the excess from the Tops of the Front Flairs and the Backs of the Rear Flairs. Next I trimmed a little more off the Front Flairs... Then I filled in part of the Tops of the Front Flairs to form 2 more Vents. After a little clean up, the cut-off Rear Flairs formed 2 more Half-Moon shaped Vents. More Coming...
