miatamadman replied to miatamadman's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I really have no idea yet as to what color it will be. Any suggestions? -
A W E S O M E !!!!!!

Here's something we haven't seen offered in a very long time on Mustangs; T-Tops. I think this looks pretty darn cool! What do you guys think? I think this ones also going to get the shaker hood treatment.

Thanks guys! I was originally going to leave it all orange but it just screamed for stripes. Now on to the next build..

Nice job Lyle. Love the side pipes. Now I just need to finish mine

That's one very nasty, mean looking Dart. Awesome!

Looks great! I'm still working on mine on and off.

Nick, you dooo know Miatas only come in red don't you? My 1:1 is set up for both street and autocross. It's pretty much an oversized gocart that only leaves the garage on nice days. I started to polish out the paint tonight and discovered that I'm going to have to spray a couple more coats of red onto the body once this great weather blows out of here. It's been 1 step forward 2 steps back with this project. Oh well, thats modelling

It's the Revell kit and will be a fully detailed model....basically a replica of my 1:1. Here it is in primer

Here she is fresh from the paint booth. The color is Mazda Miata Classic Red. Once the paint cures, I'll lay down the dual silver stripes.

I finally finished this dust collector after I ran out of steam 3 years ago. This one started out as a Revell of Germany Peterbilt. I scratchbuilt everything from the cab back, as well as the front bumper and fuel tank covers. More pics can be seen here: http://public.fotki.com/zh/fire-truck-mode...nia-ilpeterbil/

I am the Senior Draftsman/CAD Operator for a Civil Engineering firm. Unfortunatly now is a very slow time for us due to the housing slow down. Hopefully things will start picking up this spring. -
The Pierce tower project is getting closer to completion. I'm now starting to work on the cab interior. Here is the link to the build..... http://public.fotki.com/zh/model_construct...rce_100_aerial/

Bob, I actually started to work on set of '03 Mach 1 wheels which I never finished...I used Some Pegasus wheels instead for my conversion. Here is a pic of the completed car. Maybe I'll blow the dust off of the wheel and finsh it.

I'm running out of this stuff and I need to get more. Where can I get this flocking? The detail masters and testors stuff just is not the same.

Got this one for Christmas from my in-laws and promptly started it the next day. Being off for the week allowed me to build build build. I started to build this one box stock and then things sort off got out of hand......First, the wheels needed to be a bit larger and the tires wider. I used a set of pegasus's aluminum sleaves with their low profiles up front and higher profile tires in the rear along with some resin disc brakes that I cast. Now I needed to lower it. Easier said than done. The front was pretty simple. Just wack off the wheel moount move it up on the strut. The rear was a bit more difficult. I actually had to cut the floor pan and raise it in order to get the ride hight I was looking for. Finally I sprayed it with Testors Plum Crazy Metalic and clear and finished it my adding a scratchbuilt from spoiler.

I really like how that primer job looks. And the Arter rake still lives!!

This was built using the testors RT kit....not the much awaited police car version. I shaved off the body side moldings, scratchbuilt the pushbar, door mirrors and rear arrow stick(mounted inside the rear window). The light bar is my very last Dave Panek light bar. BUMMER! That guy made some very, very nice light bars. I should of bought more when I had the chance.

Hey Steve, Any word on the police versions release?

Last night I decided to blow the dust off of this one and try to complete it. The last 90% of every model is the most difficult part for me to complete since I tend to lose interest and start other projects.

My concept Trans Am based on the Kevin Morgan design

That is so awesome looking!!!! Can't wait to see the finished model -
Here are some pics of my on and off again project. i started off with an Italeria Peterbilt kit. The hood and fenders are resin pieces from clint freeman. The sleeper is all scratchbuilt as well as the rear fenders, fuel tanks, front bumper and exhaust stacks. The frame also received a super stretch to fit the sleeper unit. The sleeper unit interior is also fully detailed. I should have some more recent pics this week.
