  1. Purple Power works Ok, but I had great results using Easy Off Heavy Duty oven cleaner to remove Tamiya sprays. Put the body in a zip-lock plastic bag, spray in the oven cleaner and let it sit at least overnight. You might need to use an (old) toothburush for stubborn areas; cotton swabs dipped in 91% alcohol will work well on them, too.
  2. My current project is a '67 Charger weekend warrior. I wanted to duplicate an option that Chrysler offered that year- "Hand-rubbed" silver for $17.00- so I have painted it with Tamiya Silver Leaf Ts-30. It's nice, smooth and lusterous, but it's not shiny. I don't want a showcar gloss. Any suggestions on how to give the silver a shine without making it too glossy?

  5. I don't use these clamps, but I would try forming a clamp around something of a diameter that's smaller that the hose on which it will be used, then add the clamp to that hose before the hose is added to the model.
  6. I'm new to the forum and I would like to post an album in the gallery. I have started an album but my first attempt at adding an image resulted in an error message indicating that the image was too big. It's a JPG file, 1.15MB, 2304x1728- that's just one picture. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
