got to paint it today the color is a defunct nail polish color over HOK platinum white/orion silver/and pearl powder base.
yeah, i was 10 and didnt know much about scratch building i used duct foil i got from my uncle. im going for styrene now.
what paint are you using? ive only seen this with testors and tamiya when sprayed heavy. i would try misting the clear on and letting it build over the silver without melting it
i learned that premixing saves a lot of time and mess, i also use a lot of pipettes and cups. so far ive been that much faster at painting

i built this 64 a long time ago i think 3 or 4 cars after my first builtup over the years parts went missing to the point where its at now. i originally wanted to restore it using another amt 64 but decided to start over and stay within the lines of the original.
i would love to see more Chryslers that arent muscle, some 80s cars like caprices and cutlass, and more 50s kits that arent mainstreamers like a 57 desoto
