The last few years I been working on the White freight liner and stacks and mounts seem to be the only hold up. what kind of help can I get? I lost the paper work on this and its been a guessing game. (thats funny stacks me help)
or oven cleaner the cheep no name stuff from the dollar store some time they work some time they don't,I get the name brand from Fred's. Put in a seal container and let set a few days wash and dry. I got one in the cleaner now. (if you cant work with rite a way fill the container with water and let sit) this one been siting the last 3 weeks.
that's it,don't get the cheap stuff or fume-less they don't work too good Use out side,it will burn the eyes and nose.. get a container with lid,Most store have these and let the parts set a few days.
some folks say freeze it. Also try soaking it in oven cleaner a few days or even a week that will brake down the glue most of the time. I've had few old kits like that I have forgot about say month and start washing off and fall apart.
wet sand, start with a 1000 grit and work to a extra fine like 6000,get at wal mart. Then use a rubbing compound made for clear plastic auto lenses, this stuff has a funky name(have too look for it.)
Fun fact,The lens on my car was getting fuggy,I tried it on them now I can see at night.
And me,just got burnt out on the Green Big sleeper. Have to repaint hood an cab, that did me in. Now it getting too cold to paint so maybe after Christmas or if I can clean out a shop around here use it to work in,,,,Hummm.idea bouncing.
Or this. this is a junk yard rebuild from ground up,,,,Humm back in the junk yard it had a real bad wreck last week,This time it maybe getting the pink slip.
.Revell K 100 Aerodyne.
Revell 125 (I think) Flattop????
AMT K 100 Aerodyne
AMT 125 Flattop???.
The only one I know that is out now is the AMT KW flat top.The rest is on Ebay.
I use dupli Color auto paint(spray can) it is getting were it does cost but some time worth it. Time to time Will use Krylon the new fan tip sure is a big help.Don't use krylon primer not worth having.
Like Matt, make sure you have a interest in it. I been working on 2 for the last year and can't get into them.I sit there and look at them for a hour or so then box them back up or glue one too 2 parts and give up. That disappoints me.
