  1. With all the different releases they have had of the GMC and Chevy's they could offer a 2 in 1 kit stock or custom build.
  2. I would think any of the big rig truck frames would work and the Dodge L - 700 comes with a gas engine that would of been used in the D series it also has a smaller frame that would fit the truck good. That would be my choose.
  3. Today's updates with the wood grain and BMF and interior together.
  4. Bill I could use 2 of these Dodges for the Snake and Mongoose transporters. They would need some modifications to make them the D-800 truck but I don't think it would take to much to do. Your project looks very promising with either the utility or car transporter. What are you going to use for the chassis?
  5. Rob, for the floor carpet first paint the area to be covered with a color close to the carpet then I use A brush to put Elmer's glue where I want the carpet to be and then spread the flocking over it very heavy and pat it down just a little after it drys I just brush off the extra. It is a good idea to do all your painting around the carpet area first as the lint from the flocking will get in your paint.
  6. Thanks for all the nice comments!
  7. Great job on your Autocar your colors work good to.
  8. Made some more progress with getting the engine and frame put together with the wheels. I have been testing different ways to create the wood grain and have come up with a black base with Tamiya red brown streaked over it gives a good close repersentation of the GM wood grain. Just have the black base on now will put the red brown after its dry and BMF the trim around it.
  9. Dave, this is one beautiful set up with the Cat, lowboy and the Pete. I would really like more information on your Cat I've got one in my stack to do and would like it to add some of tha same mods.
  10. Just received mine this week from Model Express fist look it is the 1/25 scale not the 1/24 scale that Tower Hoppy has shown.
  11. Here are a couple builds that I used the kits for including the Dodge CN 800 resin.
  12. Dave this is going to be another great kit to build. Are you still on schedule.
  13. Here are this weeks updates. Worked on the interior with flocking on the floor and to make the seats cloth by using flocking and covering it with flat clear coat. Added fog lights to the brush bar and started work on the engine added spark plug wires and changed out the air cleaner. Also started painting the body. The white mid section will be wood grain and the top will be white. I'm working on how to create the wood grain and would appreachate any ideas on creating the wood grain. The white sections in the interior will also get the wood grain. Thanks
  14. JT Again another great build. Do you have any pictures of your complete collection of builds. They must take up a lot of space to display.
  15. Dee very sharp looking KW What is the dump truck in the back ground looks like a old Mack or International.
  16. JT this was a nice set up you had their to bad it had to go. I lost all mine builds I had from the 70s from my brothers firecrackers.
  17. Received my Texas license plates today. Keep checking the e-bay they seem to pop up every couple months.
  18. Here are a couple up dates I've painted the wheels and the raised letters, also cut down the front brush bar and put BFF to make it chrome. Started working on the interior with some blue flocking on the floor and on the seats for the cloth section. I have a question the kit has 2 bateries one on each side. I don't remember on mine but I do know that I only had one battery but I don't remember what side it was on. Help please what side should the battery be on. Thanks.
  19. I just cut the center out of the 78 and added 2 sections with some photo edge gril behind it painted black. I also cut out the GMC painted them red and glued it to the gril. I used a bic black felt pen to fill in the black lines.
