  1. ...great job on the dio, and real nice work on the Chevelle!
  2. ..now this is very impressive to say the least! ..a fella could spend hours looking at this and still not catch everything, great work Richard, attention to detail is off the charts!!!
  3. ..too cool Junior! ...love all these detail projects you create!
  4. ...thanks everybody, appreciate the great comments and taking the time to post! Speaking of posting, I really need to put aside some time to comment more because there is some really great work going on around here! ..this little dio is finished. Added a few small extras and made a couple of changes. At my wife's urging, I took out the bush in front of the car, added the rim and put the "horse collar" back on the grill..got to admit I do like it better..... ..now it's on to the garage dio......
  5. ...thanks everyone for the kind words and positive feedback. It feels really good to be working on the dio's again. Got some incentive when I decided to take them to the show!
  6. Thanks Riley!
  7. Built this Edsel about two years ago and started the dio for it about a year and a half ago. Then it ended up a the shelf along side my garage dio. Since I'm headed to the NNL East, I wanted to take this and the garage dio to the show this year. This little dio is almost complete, just needs a few extras and it'll be ready to go. Then it's on to the garage dio!
  8. ..thanks Steve, appreciate the info...
  9. ....found this wheel in a parts box I traded for a couple weeks ago, Don't recall ever seeing this one before, any help with it's ID would be appreciated...thanks... http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm3/dioman54/089_zpsed98a332.jpg[/img

..thanks Hollywood Jim and Joe! ....Mark, the weathering was done with flat black and rust paints and powders. First I painted the brake assm. with flat black. Then used 3 different rust colors, dabbing them on with a stiff brush. For the grime I used Bragdon Powders. They come individually or in a multi-pack. The multi-pack has 12 different colored powders so you can achieve just about any effect you would like. Here's the address for the powders in case you want them or need more information.....www.bragdonent.com
