  3. Hey fellas' wanted to let you know that I'm working on some 8 lug steel wheels. The Chevy 8 lugs are a scale 15" so they would fit most kit tires and will be available sometime later today or tomorrow on my web site and e-bay, along with the rubber Suburbanite tires. The taller non script rubber tire (scale 29") will be available within the next week or so. Also, the have a scale 16.5" steel 8 lug coming soon with 2W and 4W hubs. I'll have two types of tires for those wheels as well. The non script tire and the Bridgestone Desert Dueler (scale 32").

  14. Hi guys, I had a request to make 5th wheel pickup hitches for a customer of mine. I plan on adding them to my product line but need some information. The cradle that the 5th wheel sits on it is adjustable up and down. The 5th wheel itself pivots on the cradle. The only company I know of that makes goose necks is Galaxie. Question 1...it there another company or caster that makes them? Question 2....if someone here has a Galaxie goose neck, if you would, could you please tell me what the king pin size is, diameter and length. The hole for the king pin on this hitch is 1/8" dia, it's for a die cast trailer, need to know how close to the Galaxie or other make the king pins are....trying to make them as universal as possible....thanks fellas, appreciate any thoughts and info.......Danny [/uRL]
  15. ..thanks guys, as always I appreciate the info. These's no better place to ask questions and get information then this forum!
  16. ....got these wheels in a parts box at a garage sale....the one on the left, really have no idea, and the one on the right, a Chevy wide 5?
  17. ..the base is shadow box frame. I dropped it one day and shattered the glass, then almost threw it away. But being somewhat of a pack rat I kept it around. All I did was glue a 1/2" particle board floor about 3/8" below the top edge then filled it with Plaster of Paris. When it was cured I painted it earth brown, added the ground cover and gravel.....also, the box was already painted black.
  18. Thanks Guys, this was a fun little dio to put together. If I ever get back to building on a regular basis, it would make a nice photo backdrop.....
  19. Charlie, the green spindly looking weeds are some kind of flower arrangement filler I got a Hobby Lobby. The other weeds are from Woodland Scenics tall grass section. The bushes are tiny dried flower stems covered with basil and parsley flakes.

Thanks fellas, appreciate the kind words. I wasn't able to work on this as much as I would have liked but I did take it to the Detroit DAAM Show. I got a Third Place ribbon and a lot of inquiries. The show seemed a bit low on attendance this time around but a good one none the less, had fun. Plan on added more detail items for the NNL in Jersey, maybe it will look more complete.

....started work on the dio again. Hope to have it ready for the Detroit show in a couple of weeks. Decided not to add the stair case, it really did look forced into the scene. I got most of the electrical conduit done and added the gas line and regulator to the overhead heater. Once the conduit is finished the structure it's self will be complete. The upper flooring is not permanent, so I can show it with or without it. I'll be adding all the interior details next, benches, tools..etc..
